@lets_patois
@lets_patois 2 күн бұрын
You guys are missing the point. The desires alone don't make you gay, what you do with them does. It is a choice to act on or ignore these desires. Acting on them is a sin but if you ignore them and deprive yourself of such worldly desires, you can actually lose them altogether. Say there's a guy who likes to have s*x with multiple women and sees them as pleasure instruments. If he decides to change, those thoughts will still come but he must deny himself of them. After a while, he can fully lose those desires, same with homosexuality. LGBTQ+ ppl push this believe that you can not change your sexuality but they also say sexuality is fluid, there was such a debate where they agreed that you can be gay now and pan tomorrow or vice versa (but it's just not fluid enough to make you heterosexual). Point is, everyone can change, and they should.

It’s possible, but a lot of ex-lgbtq in general have religious reasons or healing journey reasons 🤷🏾‍♀️ it’s not an issue to talk about it. It’s not like they’re forcing them to do something they don’t want to do. They are just sharing THEIR experiences. ❤

I think it's hard to find people who are Anti-LGBT and it has nothing to do with religion And I think the only way for there to be common ground was to have religious lgbtq that way they could have a meeting point It would honestly be the only way those Anti-LGBTQ folk would be able to have a leg to stand on The moment they took Christianity out it would've been a total bashing and I'm pretty sure those anti-LGBTQ folk would've immediately felt disrepect and and attacked and then they would play victim and it would look bad overall

I also think the notion that being gay occurs naturally is wrong. The only animals that do it with the same sex arent exclusively doing it with same sex and they are typically species with high sex drives like dolphins sheep beetles etc. its not naturally occurring it never was. Thats like saying Humans came up with the term homosexual because they were homo erectus. To answer your comment it seems like the only way out of the gay ideology is to adopt a more omnipotent one. Like belief in a higher power than yourself.

@@emmasanginiti1123 I'm not arguing the "sexuality is a choice" statement, but purely on the comment you made. The argument doesn't hold much ground, as this reasoning would justify the following for everyone: "If I had the choice, I would be a fit person by now" "If I had the choice, I would never lie" "If I had the choice, I would never procrastinate" "If I had the choice, I would not be a thief" "If I had the choice, I would move out of the country" Almost always in the above, there surely is a choice, however you would definitely have to sacrifice something and put lots of effort into it. Doesn't mean there is no choice. So, what I tried to point out is that purely that comment you made doesn't suffice as a strong support of the bigger topic here

As an ex christian, I feel that religion can be a beautiful thing that unites people from all walks of life. What's so unfortunate is when people use religion to suppress how they feel about themselves and others. 32:20-32:30 Candice implies that we should not fear the Lord, and says that the gates of heaven are wide. However, we *should* fear the Lord as a misbehaving child fears the correction of their parents. Children still love their parents, and parents their children, but children need to be taught how to behave by someone who knows better than themselves. Job 28:28 says, "The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding." Also, saying that the gates of heaven are wide is simply unbiblical: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." - Matthew 7:13-14 I just wanted to address these two points to prevent confusion for anyone who may be honestly seeking out biblical truth.
