There's a skin making community and some people have made a very large amount of skins over time. The vast majority of players ends up using a skin made by some person who is at least somewhat known for making skins, rather than copying a skin some random unknown person made for themselves.

The purpose of the EULA claiming your work isn't to take copyrights away, it grants Mojang a license to share your skin so they don't get sued if you do copyright it. This is also why it's important you own the skin, because if someone else copyrights it then you're not legally allowed to grant others permissions without getting them for yourself first.

I used to use other people's skins I downloaded on Skindex, but after awhile, I slowly started moving away as time went by. sometimes looking at other skins to get inspiration or learn how to draw a freaken face!! Anyhow, I now use one of my own completely original skin that I made myself. Everyone starts somewhere, but I do recommend making your own. Be yourself, don't let someone else tell you how to live or copy someone else. Just be you... ,and the only reason I made my own skin was that I'm a youtuber and I felt the need to use my own

Personally I don't understand why people don't make their own skins. It is one of the few games where you can do this and it just blows my mind. Aside from the time I exclusively played Pocket Edition before 1.2, I have never used a Minecraft skin created by anyone else for any significant length of time (longer than a day or three). It is just pointless!

the issue is if people don't like ugly skin and they're bad, or if they don't really know or even if they want to be like their f**king favorite youtuber and harass anyone who disagree or ignore those b**ch... And making a skin take time, if you don't have the time you won't do it, for exemple it took me 4 days to retexture and remodel the skin I made and it's not even that good, but you're still right

as a skin maker myself, i can say that most, if not all of my clients are happy with their skins, not because it's different, but because it's an expression of themselves and/or their original character. others will probably try and take it for themselves, but that skin will never truly represent anyone else, noone but who the skin is really for

I have found something that might be the origin of your Minecraft skin, though the timeline doesn't make much sense. There's a Minecraft Animation movie called Songs of War. In it there are characters called Enderknights. I have a bunch of the assets from Songs of War on my hard drive, and your skin is basically identical to one of the Enderknight skins. The reason I say the timeline doesn't make sense is because Songs of War is fairly recent (just 2 or 3 years old), and as far as I know all of the skins for it were created custom. So unless there's some time travel shenanigans going on, I'm confused. (Of course, if there were time travel shenanigans, I would be even more confused, but whatever.)

So no, bedrock players are at an impasse if they want a character.
