Golden Temple is the most beautiful architecture ever, anywhere in the world, so much more awe inspiring snd jaw dropping than the Taj Mahal. And they serve so many people by havibg the worlds largest free kitchen serving 100,000 people per day, rising up to 200,000 on festival days, all from donations from visitors and contributions from Sikhs. An amazing community.

@jusalii Indians and Pakistanis travel across the border all the time and are treated exceptionally well, almost like celebrities. But these are only the ones with relative visas or with another passport. I am Indian and had a great time visiting Pakistan. News is that even the PM went there to eat biryani.

The Taj mahal is an amazing building but it was built for very selfish reasons and 1000s of people died building it. The Golden Temple was built for totally altruistic reasons and is there for everyone. One of my favourite buildings. A Carnet De Passage is basically a passport for a vehicle Seeing the massive Pakistani flag, as I approached the border, was very exciting

Just like India, Pakistan mandates a Carnet. You can’t get a TIP in lieu of a Carnet to enter Pakistan. If they won’t issue you a Carnet in India, you are pretty much screwed. Taking Indian registered vehicles into Pakistan is not possible. If you had done a little research or watched other motorcyclists like Itchy Boots, you would know this. She took the Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia route and then shipped her bike to Oman to continue to Netherlands because her Himalayan was an Indian registered bike. This seems like an unnecessary circus for the obvious.
