After some research, I found out that what you drew in the second piece wasn't furry and it's actually called kemonomimi, which is very different from furries. So don't worry Sam, you're safe from becoming a furry artist. (the pieces were amazing though ♥️)

No it's still a furry! Kemomomimi is human face with animal ears and tail but he did the anthropomorphic traits (bunny nose, pelt colors etc.)

My guess for why they do that is because furries get a LOT of hate, and if the artist shows that they like anything remotely close to furries, they may start getting some of the hate as well :/
