You can't enlarge the wheat field but you could stack them (then you would have to manage the lighting (or use trappdoor instead of tiles to let the light through) and you would be limited by the speed at which you could replant so 2-3 floors max).

The size is impressive. But if you want to be more efficient you should use bees, make the farm into smaller sections and plant seeds on one section while the other sections are growing and harvesting them one at a time to reduce the amount of wheat that sits fully grown doing nothing

Setting up bees is annoying and you don't need it. Sections and a smaller farm would be enough, you can see how most of the wheat is fully grown doing nothing in the big farm. 200 minecraft days are 240,000 seconds, so we would need two players each plant two seeds per second non-stop. More for the actual planting job as you still need to build the farm, sort items and so on.

honestly the biggest issue with your methods was 1 crucial issue, light level. 1 full minecraft day/night cycle is 20 minutes, and half of that time won't allow the wheat to grow as wheat needs a light level of 9 or higher to grow and the moon doesn't give anywhere close to 9. essentially you could have doubled your output if you had put some lights over the entire farm so the wheat could grow 100% of the time.

Also, planting in sections. One quadrant at a time or something would have allowed that quadrant to grow and be ready to harvest when the next quadrant were done.

If you don't know, using a tool with fortune 3 will give you more crops or seeds from that crop per harvest, as well as it doesn't cost any durability for that item. I have found a fortune 3 gold pickaxe in my survival world from a ruined Portal chest. I use this to harvest extra crops when I farm. Always. Hope this helps, I didn't know this trick until rather recently. You get much more crops. Edit For something of this size it wouldnt be effective to do it any other way, but this is how i get by in my fields.

I feel like it would be more efficient to have a smaller wheat field harvested more often, with the max wheat field a lot of wheat was fully grown before planting even finished. Doing a smaller field or a plant and harvest at the same time might have resulted in a larger overall harvest by 200 days.

I know its too late now, but I had a huge project where I had to plant a large amount of seeds because I was making an entire field, and I found that the best way to gather seeds is using a Nano Crop Farm, I found one by Cubix Creations. The only problem was it used a large amount of bonemeal so I had to make a bonemeal farm which I got from your channel, but in less than 10 minutes you can get a double chest full of seeds by just using the farm and holding right click. Also if you were unaware, wheat is the only crop in Minecraft which can grow without the farmland being wet, granted you have to plant it as soon as you hoe the dirt into farmland, or else the dried farmland will just become dirt again, but it's easily done by having seeds on your offhand, and a hoe on your main hand and using an autoclicker. Love the video!

Just 3 weeks ago I made a 500x500 wheat farm on a flat plane. MANUALLY. No redstone or helpers or than a right-click harvest mod so I don't have to replant the seeds. As you have measured the max growing area (I didn't) my field doesn't fully grow. 🙁 You could put another field over the one you built and have the water going the opposite way to harvest both at once, but replanting would be a nightmare. Well done for trying.👍

You know, I believe you would have had a more efficient yield if you planted from the outside in, so the larger amount of crops on the perimeter would be grown as you plant the center, whereas when you planted the center first, the majority of the middle was grown for considerably longer than the time It took to plant the remaining crops, so for efficiency, you'd want the fewest crops planted last, hence finishing in the center rather than starting in the center

Oh no they could definitely do it, because it took then half the time to make the farm to full efficiency, the full farm can generate 50 000 every 10 minecraft days, 200/10 is 20 and 20 x 50 000 is right on the dot of 1 millipk wheat! (Yes I take into account 6 days for replanting and 3 days waiting to grow, plus 1 day for sorting, that's every 10 days)

Sooooo I did some quik math cause I like to post about. They played for 200 days in minecraft, one day is 20 minutes that means they played for 4000 minutes or 66.66 hours. Now I'm thinking how much wheat did they produce with this process per minute? Exactly 100.64 wich sounds good but it didn't achieve the 1 mil. I think and I look up a simple wheat farm with bonemeal and I see an rather old video pop up from Impulse (no advertisement) and this one produces 450 wheat per minute wich whould equal to 1.8mil in 4000 minutes, you could have one person making sure there is enough bonemeal. For instance start off with a buffer in the little contraption and start making ilmangos insane bonemeal farm to feed the machine enough bonemeal for the remainer of the challange.... just some toughts
