@djbizonn3 ай бұрын
To me, the most interesting part of the series is the learning cycle. You start by not knowing how to diagnose or fix issues. Then, you begin to slowly figure out how to diagnose and eventually fix the item. That is the key for anyone learning this trade. Not overly interested in seeing anymore game consoles. Maybe have a vote of another 2 or 3 types of items that you could take through the whole learning cycle.

Joey, why limit yourself to a single option? You clearly want data from the audience on what is going to work but the best indicator will be actually putting an episode together and seeing what the views look like. More importantly never loose sight of why we watch you, it’s because of you. You are a positive force that for 10-15 minutes a week can brighten someone’s day. So really the question needs to be flipped back to you. What are you passionate about? Because in the end that is what matters most. You clearly cared about what the Profit or Loss series has done for you and your family. But what we as an audience got was someone who was committed to his cause. So whatever the next step you take is all we want is watch you do it with your full passion. That will resonate in ways you can’t analyze or plan. Best of luck. We’ll be watching and cheering you on.

one thing you could do if you don't want to make another 100+ episodes, is to do 1 episode of profit or loss a week. you could then sprinkle in whatever content you'd like to make alongside it. I think we would all love to see profit or loss stick around! sourcing from other places is also a great idea since you could get good deals more often for content and don't have to force anything.

Season 2 sounds great alongside new items, something like mondays profit or loss thursdays trying to fix. Profit or loss would be fun if there was more of an interactive side looking at how you look for things, what to look for and what to avoid that way its still new and exciting. Then new items can be something a bit more wild and different. I know some people like to specialise and niche down on an item but i really enjoy the more my mate vince approach of how many things can we save from landfill

Hey Joey, I'm a long time viewer and have watched every episode of profit or loss, the reason I like this series so much is because when I click on one of your videos I know what I'm going to get. I come from a background in network engineering and I do fault finding on a daily basis. I like the videos that you make because you are actively learning about a new piece of equipment every time a video comes out. I don't really care about the profit or loss part it's the learning part and finding how things work. This is why a lot of people are asking you to do stuff that you don't normally do as the same stuff everyday while profitable for you definitely gets repetitive and probably bad for channel growth, if you could find a middle ground where viewers send in random items for you to fix and sell for a profit or pay for dumping. While also still do the normal items that you do, just make the title "profit or loss season 2" but just sell things where you get the most money for them. Thank you for your hard work, you are doing an amazing job and I will enjoy continuing watching your videos.
@deassssssss3 ай бұрын
I would love a season 2 with the tweaks you mentioned. Specifically, a bigger focus on maximizing profit would be interesting because it would still include a learning process for you! That, and I love watching you fix electronics while I do other things because I don’t really understand a lot of the fixes, but I enjoy hearing your thought process and problem solving.
@saadikaoukdji60423 ай бұрын
Season 2 of profit or loss would be amazing and something I would look forward to. I always wait for your next video to see what type of repair adventure the item will take you. Understandable, it is the same item most of the time but the fix is always different and I really enjoy how you get to that. I also enjoy the time you take to explain your repairs in detail. It really helps us average techs. All in all, season 2 would be a great idea but regardless of what you decide, I'll be there waiting and ready for the adventure for what's to come.

SEASON 2 FOR SURE! Give it a little twist as you said, try other eletronics, or anything else you feel confortable with. A twist on the series will somehow make it fresh but still be the "profit or loss" we all love. Maybe like, a 50 Episode run just to see how much money you can make on that, with a "special episode" here and there, as you said on stream, with local repairs for fans or inviting other repair techs to join you on repairing. Anyway i think the concept of "Profit or Loss" is still relevant, and your statistics show that (more and more people are coming by to watch the series). Best of luck for you, your fam, and the YT/Twitch content.
@hugz16883 ай бұрын
Absolutely, go for season 2 as well as a new series where you repair devices completely new to you. I'm sad I only found you at the literal end of the series, but I'll definitely be here for all future vids. Wish you all the best.
@SimonCummings-o4l3 ай бұрын
Fun idea might be to see how you would "start new" with this hobby. You've inspired a lot of people to take this up but they may not know a lot of what is involved. Take the profit you've made from season 1 and show us what equipment you would buy, maybe starting off with more budget friendly stuff and as you make more profit upgrade your equipment. You can only use the equipment you've "bought" with your budget, if you can't fix with equipment you've got "sell" the item and add back onto your budget. You could then take that item off the season and try and fix with all your equipment. Double the content for same amount of items. If you need a chip to fix an item use from what stock you've got but deduct what the price would be if you were to buy it. Involve more about how you source your broken items to repair and let us see your decision making in what you buy. Would be a lot of fun decisions...do you upgrade your equipment or do you buy more stock, not saying you actually buy all new equipment but if say you wanted to upgrade and use your flir camera youd have to deduct the value of that from your budget etc there would be a real possibility you could fail if you have a run of bad results so every decision would be important. Just an idea, whatever you decide I'll still be watching. Keep up the great work!

I love your content so much. It makes my boring days go faster, helps me fall asleep, anything really. I would love to see a season 2 but I would also love to see you grow more, maybe by staying in the same genre of "gaming" and gaming tech such as laptops, graphic cards and maybe even phones? I also love the idea of donated items sold for charity, now the charity is up to you but charity close to my heart is anything for the children. As a father of 2 it hurts my heart so bad just knowing there are kids out there exposed to violence, bullying, sickness and whatever else bad. If you do go with the idea of charity items and do go with the idea of expanding your knowledge, I have an HP Omen litterally just sitting in a wardrobe that just up and died one day without warning.
@MichaelNazar3 ай бұрын
First, let me say thanks for the way that you present your content. I have watched you evolve over the months that I have followed you. You have grown as a tech as a host, but all the while still being you. Being a service tech for +37 years, all I can say is that no matter how good you are, you will never please everyone all the time. Season 2 of PoL is a given. The donations from fans to charity is another good idea. The only thing that I would offer would be to repair items outside of your comfort zone in the electronics field. Your diagnostic skills, while improving, are not being challenged enough. You have already this started with the iphones. Maybe a learn and earn series based on repairing unfamiliar items. The biggest drawback is the lack of parts on hand and having a lot of broken episodes until the item gets fixed. Whatever you decide, I will try to be there. I do have challenges in my daily life. You and the JDT community and chat bring a smile, a burst of laughter, and a bright light in a sometimes overcast and lonely world. Do not overthink this. You are where you are because of who you are. You already have the answers. You just don't know it yet. Cheers from Ann Onimus. 😊

For me it's all about the journey. watching the failures, the wins, the quick fixes and the times where you refuse to give up and spend more time than you probably should only to come to the conclusion that its unfixable is what makes your content enjoyable to watch. The profit or loss series is great because you get the viewers invested in the content whether they are rooting for your success or hoping for a couple of losses to extend the series, it gives people a reason to tune in. personally i really enjoy profit or loss but i also enjoy the episodes where you branch out and explore other potential repairs. As for the future of your channel, I don't see any reason why you should have to narrow yourself to only one type of series. if you do season 2 i'm sure you wouldn't lose any viewers if you decided to skip an episode of profit or loss and did a learning experience vid or a charity type vid. I'm not suggesting you increase your upload rate or anything but if you felt like a change for a week or two I know I'd still watch and I'm sure many of your fans feel the same way. loved the series and it was bittersweet to see it come to an end. Good luck with the repairs and I wish you all the luck in the world with the growth of your channel. I look forward to seeing what content you decide to go with next.

Joey. You Have some great ideas. I say do them all. Do the profit or loss. Buy eBay items (the usual things), but also buy things from around your area, such as TV’s, stereos, CB radios, various other devices and compare the profit or loss from each. Instead of 2 eBay profit or loss a week, do one of each. Doing charity repairs sent in by viewers and fixing them can be for live streams at least once a week. That would be awesome! Either way no matter what you choose to do, I will be a loyal viewer and fan. You are an inspiration to many!

You got me wanting to know more about electronics and taught me lots of things! It's also a great entertainment as it is both very relaxing and never boring, thanks to your humour and the way you edit the episodes. As for if I'd like a season 2? Of course! Profit or Loss is a great concept that puts a common thread to the episodes like a good Netflix series :) You can always refresh it by adding challenges, varying your sources (online and maybe offline? like flea markets or so?), special episodes (e.g. each "x10" episode would have a special concept like repairing as much PS5s as possible in x hours, idk haha),... And as I saw mentioned in other comments, seeing you repairing new stuff in another series would add some variety while keeping older and newer viewers hooked to the "main plot" with Profit or Loss! Anyway, keep up the great work Joey! (btw you're the first youtuber I'm considering buying merch from, that T-shirt is dope!)

What I liked about the season was watching and learning how you explore electronics looking for the issues, fix them, and seeing the monetary impacts of using those skills in a practical sense. The series aspect was less of a motivator for me. I'd just enjoy seeing more similar content. Doesn't need to have a profit goal or be a full on season or any of that. Although I found it interesting to see the financial aspect of it... And there is just something that is so satisfying watching the reflow, that gentle tap and it settles back in place. *Chef's kiss* whatever you decide, I'm here for it! I trust your judgement!

Do a season 2! I've learned so much in my soldering journey watching your videos. Thanks to your videos I kept going when I messed up and wanted to give up. I looked forward to every episode that you posted for us all to watch.

Season 2 would be fun! I like the idea of items sent in by viewers. Another fun option would be during live streams, have a q&a to help others that are having certain issues and can’t figure out what they’re facing

I'd love to see a season 2, stumbled in at about video 90 then watched the playlist... The "work smarter not harder" of doing things you have experience with and not restricting yourself to buying from eBay would get my vote!

I hope that there is a season 2 of profit or loss. Even though I have not owned a console since 1998, I still do enjoy seeing these things get repaired.

Please do a season 2. All of your ideas were great, just mix things up as you go. I just recently found your channel through your current videos and then went back to your oldest videos and was blown away by how far you’ve come since your days of tinkering with DS lites (which is the point I’m at currently). Cheers.

Hey Joey, first of all: Thanks for the time you put in for us. So for me personally, I am not in for the 1000 pound target but to learn how to find falts and how to repair them. Seeing console number 30 is not helping me here at all. However, if you would repair random stuff and learn as you go, that would be just what I would love to see...

I have really enjoyed the first series, and would definitely watch another.

I'll be honest. I've dropped off the profit and loss series of late because items were often the same and i felt the series ran too long. I would make the series shorter and maybe just do it for a year (1 epsiode a week) and see if you can out do yourself year on year. Would love a learning series in-between and maybe thrown in a collab challenge with elliot, the coder or other repair KZbinrs. Whatever you decide make sure you're enjoying creating that content. You've done amazing things already with the channel. Looking forward to the future

I would love to see you branch out and try to fix other things. Maybe you can do 2 series, one focused on learning and exploring new tech items, and the other being profit or loss. I agree that branching out from eBay would be good for sourcing items. Whatever you do, I love your content! Keep up the great work

I want more seasons for sure! I have no interest on doing these repairs myself, but watching repair videos has easily turned into one of my favourite niches in KZbin. Maybe you could get inspiration from Stezstix Fix? And not just focus on consoles for season two, plus the changes you want to make since we're here for you and if you're not enjoying it then what's the point? I'm so happy to have found your videos, hope to see more!!!

I used to watch TronicsFix before knowing your channel, I love to watch and learn the process of fixing stuff. I think I watched every ep of this series, and I would love to see a second season! Also, I would love to see some different stuff being fixed, some older video games maybe, monitors or what not

I loved this series so much I really do hope you will continue it. It was a great journey with you either way and thank you for all the experience and knowledge you’ve shared with us Joey‼️‼️‼️( also once again thank you for supporting my channel, means a lot)

A great series could be a DIY project where you assemble, solder, test a project, you could start small with something easy and steadily get to the harder projects! I think it's a great way to get to know a lot of components and how they work in a circuit plus the happines when your selfmade project works, you for sure can get pcb somewhere 😆. Keep up the good work, I'm following you whatever path you choose Joey!

I love the Profit or Loss form you roll out. But I’m a non-electronic watcher. And what ever you move forward with, I’ll still watch! Thanks Joey!❤

I’d love a playlist on some basics on electronics- maybe slowly ramping up with the level of complexity- you have such easy watch ability I think you’d be able to teach so much to us n00bs

i was introduce to this channel through the The Coder who did a shout out and i have enjoyed it since then i cam on probably from episode 20 or so. It has been a lot of fun as i share your enthusiasm when you get a difficult device working. i am a bit of tech myself, you see. I think a Season 2 with more diverse items like DS lites, retro consoles, and handhelds to name a few. Buying from other sources is also a very good idea. What ever you choose to do I will continue to watch and support your efforts.

This channel in the past 6 mths or so has gotten to b my most watched channel for sure and always look forward to watching new videos and inbetween waiting for new ones I often go back and watch old ones that I may or may not have watched before

Season one was great, you're good at explaining and I can tell it takes a lot to edit the videos, this looks like an overwhelming job. I would love to see a season two of FIXING FAULTY ITEMS... running parallel to the idea where you buy and order stuff to fix the electronics from aliexpress as you described, both sound extremely interesting and would be resourceful. KUDOS to you on completing this!!

I’d like to see some phone repairs from you. Or just educational videos in general. You’re a great teacher
