Hey. Man i noticed you used Peter Ross stand off tool rest in another video. I also noticed you even use correct blacksmith Jargen. Ontop of all that you seem to have decent file skills. So my question is have you taken classes with peter or mankowski or browder or are you just naturally 18th century oriented blacksmith.

Your videos are entertaining and informative. I’m working on getting a few things together so I can do some metal working projects. I watched your lock video before I found the one for this one and saw how you made the key. I’m looking forward to seeing any other videos that you have

When I first saw this guy with the mullet the mustache and the sweater I thought he looked like he was from the 80s-90s then I saw the Casio calculator watch on his wrist, I think we got ourselves a time traveler lol

My good sir, I mean this as a compliment when I say that you look like you come from the 1980s who is surprisingly up to date with meme culture, not because you try, but because your personality is so similar to the general vibe of the current generation Also, your editing is god tier (Edit)

Love the Prentiss vise! I have the woodworking/patternmaker's version, but unfortunately the pin is completely seized so I can't swivel the back jaw. Cool to see one in action!

I found this video fascinating. I've always had a love for smithing. The sound effects were a bit much for me personally, but I'll be looking forward to what else you will be making.

I feel the same way, great skills, and creative forging, its something no one else is really showing, however about 50% to many sound effects.😂

Subbed just because of the goofy ahh sound effects. Keep up the good work brother. Also quick side note, you might be able to get a local machine shop to resurface your anvil nice and flat.

All good. Blacksmithing/metalworking is something my life is essentially devoted to. I think about it all the time, when I’m not doing it, I’m thinking about it, dreaming about it, writing about it. Go learn how first, from books, from other people, it’s easy to buy the stuff for it, but learning to use it is completely different. You have to seek knowledge and practice a skill. Clout ain’t shit, you have to be a steward of something bigger than yourself.

@@evanstylernext9716 good luck bro! Here’s a sub from me. Glad to see you have already 20x as much subs as myself. And I streamed video games for a few months. But unless I had anyone watching me I didn’t do much. Now I do spray-paint planets and plan to turn more into shorts about my paintings. Sorry for the random tmi. I respect your ability to ask for help like this. And the fact that our dude replied shows he’s a good person not cocky like yeah it’s too hard don’t do it, just cuz he doesn’t want the competition or something. Hope ur doing well. I’ll check ur channel after this video

Something i noticed is that shorts are the best thing to boost your channel, but the problem is that many people who watch shorts dont watch long videos. Im not a youtuber, but that's how it seems to work from an outsider perspective

@@evanstylernext9716Honestly, as someone who consumes a lot of internet content I can tell you a few things. Being genuine and honest goes a long way. Don’t perform. Just be yourself and people will respect that. Passion and enthusiasm is everything! People love to see someone happy with what they do! If you’re having fun and enjoying what you’re filming, the viewers will have fun too. Lastly, and the most unfortunate part… LUCK. Sometimes I find channels suffering in solitude with high quality content, while mindless effortless trash gets tons of views. Sometimes the algorithm just hates or loves you. It’s that simple. So I can say, it doesn’t matter what you do… it’s how you do it! There’s popular channels of a guy and his dog minion living off grid, a guy who runs a lobster boat and makes shorts about odd fish and lobsters, a dude who does videos about historical weapons while dressed in dapper clothes and a fedora! The thing they have in common is that they’re genuine, they’re passionate about what they do and they started making content just because it was fun. Millions of people watch a guy give lobsters snacks and toss them back, millions of people watch a little dog carry eggs in a basket or balance on a ball… because the people making the content are sharing their love with everyone. I hope this helps. I genuinely do! I wish you the best. Good luck and remember to HAVE FUN! You’ll be miserable if you chase numbers… so just focus on making videos that YOU want to watch and enjoy and just share them. P.S. Reply when you have your YT channel going and I’ll sub to help you get going.
