The lipstick thing is a sharp mask that you'd use to tuck your lips into the shape you want, you could use the pressure from it to temporarily mark your skin to make sure it was the shape you wanted then fit your lip back under it and use it to keep from getting lipstick where you didn't want it... very handy for people with shaking hands or traveling in carriages/trains because it greatly reduces accidents. It was *never* to apply lipstick since lipstick is prehistoric and so are crayons. You can't pit a cherry, you can de-stone them but pitting is a different process in which you shove something through to remove the stone like how olives have a circle and a little x on the other side. Pitting intentionally removes the stem and some of the flesh as well. It literally leaves a pit in the fruit. A stoner is designed to save as much flesh as possible and will grind the edible/useable fruit pulp off the stone as well.

So the lipstick applicator; I can't be the only one who has no idea so I looked it up. Yeah. It isn't easier. To use a vintage Hollywood Glamour Lips lipstick applicator, you would: Cover the applicator's flat surface with lipstick Smooth out the lipstick with your finger or the applicator Wipe off any excess lipstick from the top edge Line up the top ends of the applicator with the corners of your mouth by moving the bottom handle from your chin Press the applicator onto your lips Rub your lips together to distribute the lipstick evenly The applicator is shaped like a pair of lips and is meant to give your lips a more defined outline. The applicator is similar to a lipstick stencil and can give the classic "smear" look that Joan Crawford made famous. Before applying lipstick, the instructions recommended that you dry and powder your lips
