I have never heard of Rick Astley being referred to as a one hit wonder. He had two #1 hits in the US ("Never Gonna Give You Up" and "Together Forever") as well as three other top 10 hits ("It Would Take A Strong Strong Man", "She Wants To Dance With Me", and "Cry For Help"). And Survivor had a #1 hit with "Eye Of The Tiger", but "Burning Heart" went to #2, "The Search Is Over" went to #4, and both "High On You" and "Is This Love" were also top ten hits. I hate when videos feature "one hit wonders" but don't know what the hell that actually means. Just because you only remember one hit doesn't meant the other multiple hits cease to exist.

I hope more people get to know Bobby McFerrin more, in a deeper way. I think many people only know "Don't Worry Be Happy" but he is a very special musician. He is a very talented jazz vocalist plus songwriter and his videos are fascinating. He uses many different parts of his body to create music. Imagine beatboxing, but taken to a higher level. He also demonstrates how to easily get an audience of strangers to use the pentatonic scale, "Ave Maria" being the piece he used as an example. He is a treasure.

I object. Survivor had moderate success with "Burning Heart" so "Eye of the Tiger" I do not think would count as a OHW. . . Of course one of the greatest OHW of all time is "Take On Me". Once they, A Ha, were everywhere then nowhere. One of the best music videos of all time, too (I'm not old, why do you ask?) Recently a couple friends and I were trying to come up with any that might exist in CCM. I think I might have a couple. For instance, "Body Be" - Johnny Q Public and "All Fall Down" - Sarah Masen and as much as we all love Bob Carlisle from Allies, surely "Butterfly Kisses" counts.from his solo work. Similarly with Scott Springer (Halo) and "Hello Forever".
