@@zafira976if someone is willing to pay more than $900 for a guitar then it's worth more than $900, even if you don't like it...ever considered that? Like it or not they're worth what they're priced at, cause it they weren't PRS would be bankrupt

Everyone assigns a different value to a certain object. If the value I assess an object with is lower than the value it's seller wants for it, then I am not buying it. Obviously even if you think the value is justified, you have to think if the purchase is justified or not. Evidently not every guitar player has a PRS which means they either don't value it as highly, or they do and cannot justify the purchase still.

I listened to these with phone speakers, monitor speakers, mid tier headphones & my open back beyerdynamic DT 990s &…. with my eyes closed i tried to hear the point at which the guitars were changed & I could only tell with the 1st to the 2nd but between the 2nd through the 5th it sounded like the exact same guitar with maybe some brighter tones with the 5th guitar but that could of been from harder strumming / a bending of the string; Only while watching the video could I tell a difference. That’s not a dig at PRS for their guitars not justifying the extreme price differences but actually a compliment; this should be a testament to the quality of PRS & their commitment to giving everyone the ability to experience PRS’s beautiful sound no matter their price range.

Core 24 or Core 24 not . There is know try . I've been impressed by these Fine guitar's for a while nkw . I was always favored Gibson or Epiphone (mainly Lea Paul's and Es 335 & 355's. With 4-6 Flying V's and Explorer's over Fenders even though they were more expensive it was for the quality of woods and machines heads and pick up some such especially the woods.. I thought you dollar for dollar you got more a lot more out of a Gibson than a Fender * sorry Leo & son's but I'm beginning to think that PRS is right up there more like Gibson Fenders prices are commensurate with their quality they do have some well made $1,200 guitars , like American strats and telecasters and stuff and their amps have adequate at best. I do not like thunder amps, I play a little more edgy music and it's hard to get that bottom end crunch . I have a Telecaster and a strat and a Mustang three modeling amp 100 watt but it's just hard to get a nice crisp bottom end, the bottom end at the end always sounds muddy. But my standard rig is my Les Paul Custom Pro in my 68 bus standard and the 335 excuse me and ES330 and I play them through a DSL Marshall CR 100 watt and it sounds fantastic without even using any of my pedals. I think Fenders price to Quality Parts and craftsmanship ratio still sucks compared to Gibson and it would suck compared to PRS. I grew up working in my uncles music store I grew up working in it would take half of my wages each week in cash and half of them in store credit or having mostly epiphons and Gibson's I'm seriously considering after playing guitar since 1972 and being loyal pretty much to Gibson and Epiphone and Electra from the St Louis Music Company when they still had them like Leslie West from Mountain played. I think I'm sold on the prs's and that's going to be my next guitar.

I got the 4500 version a 2017 Custom 22 from Maryland. I really love how they inlaid the signature on the head stock... BUT I didn't buy it for the price it was used but mint condition for 28 so I thought that was a good deal... No scratches or scuff anywhere... I did however love it as soon as I picked it up... Sometimes it's not the tone or the looks it's how it feels to the player... I think that is most IMPORTANT!!! I used to only play through active pickups for heavier stuff but as I am getting older, I mellowed out a lot and the tone from these pickups are very full and just what I wanted... See I always had cheaper guitars until this one around a grand... I always switched pickups to active. BUT I know for a fact that pickups can change a guitar into what you want... This PRS has some really hot pickups for metal and heavy rock so thats good enough for me.

Core model had a bit more "clarity" and "chime," but I don't think the average music fan would notice. The only thing I can say, from experience and as a former SE owner, is that the SE pickups of old were a little more brittle sounding, especially on recordings. But the recent offerings of SE pickups are just incredible. I think the Core model would stand out a bit more in a studio mix, but for a reliable, dependable instrument, the SEs are hard to beat.

I've long since stopped believing that a 5k guitar has to $ound $4250 better than a $750 guitar .... The astonishing level of build quality in a $500-$800 guitar today really makes for a pretty fantastic guitar and a stunning performer with selective upgrades ....and you've 'only' invested 1k -$1250+- But... I will have one of those amazing Core models one day.. The difference is there just barely, but very hard to hear it clearly....the level of performance and quality in the entire PRS line is rock solid and incredibly consistent. They are remarkably close....great demo Rhett❤️

All are real close within the same ballpark, so to speak, as far as tone quality is concerned...I think playing experience/ feel/ comfort/distractions, or lack thereof, plays into the factor of guitars, as well. A friend of mine purchased a PRS Custom 24 with a solid rosewood neck, with an HFS, and upon playing that guitar, when thinking "OK, what is the hype?" prior to playing it, I plugged it into an Egnator Renegade with 4 10"s in it, and I immediately was like "OK, I get it...this guitar is just spectacular"....it was visibly beautiful, yet not cheap beautiful, like cosmetic jewelry...it was elegantly beautiful...the neck was a pattern thin, which was spectacular for that guitar...the trem came right back in tune, even with extensive use...that guitar was no toy...it was responsive in a pleasant musical way, all up and down the neck...so here is a suggestion...a lot of players buy what they can afford at the particular time in their life, and spend a lot of time and money buying disappointment after disappointment over the coarse of years...if you know you are going to keep playing, get the one that really inspires you, regardless of price point (within reason of your budget, of coarse)...get that one that inspires you...editing in: I will say that the CE, as far as sound goes in this particular video, sounds the best...it's got a bottom end the others don't by my ear...I wonder if a CE semi hollow would be even better sounding?

Ive got a gold top DGE SE with moon neck inlays comin in Oct..😖… Years ago, Id have gotten flame w/birds… but I think the gold with moons is less cliche nowadays…and it gives a nod to the early/mid fifties Les Paul’s that (depending on year) came in 2 colors… Black or Gold

OR do as I did and get an SE and put some top quality pickups and pots in and save 4k...

Yeah. I noticed at the CE & S2, they jumped up in dynamics then at the Core $4999 it went up I more. I could tell the difference in my collection as well. PRS One SE and a PRS Core 08' Mira. In both playability and sound quality.

I guess the Mc Carty 594 is more up my alley… I‘m also considering getting into the PRS rabbit hole. The aesthetics blow me away especially on the more high end instruments.

The core model sounds like a piano. Harmonics are through the roof

Yes, I can tell the difference. That’s why I own a Paul Reed Smith would library. Flamed maple neck and gray to black fade with a Floyd rose.

Yes, i can hear the difference of you turning the gain up every time. 😂 Also you’re literally the one who made a video about PRS guitars saying they have no character. Other than that I love your videos and appreciate the great content you make, all love brother.

I can hear the small differences but the working musicians like myself should definitely not be ashamed of any modern SE!

This is the magic of PRS guitars. You can obtain several different sounds from the same guitar. Likewise you can obtain the same sound from several different guitars.
