Giving yourself time and space to react to conditions or situations that may change in a split second is essential in my book, I don't mind going slower than most, I drive in a way that makes ME comfortable.

It should be the three second rule, imo. The extra second makes driving much more relaxed and much safer.

All very good advice. I was also thrilled, having clicked on this video randomly, to see you driving around Milton Keynes, the town I lived much of my life in. When you drove past the picnic area in Stony Stratford, I was like "Wait! I know where that is!" XD

Looked but not see what's happening. I remember doing an exercise where you had to read a sentence out aloud and there was a double word like the or a except the brain dismissed it and you missed the 2 words together and only read the 2 words once. The point was about teaching how despite looking you don't always see all the information and can miss a cyclist or car.

Be careful doing advanced driving course. Chap i know took his BMW to dealer. Dealer read key and said who's been a naughty boy. Why? Key recorded top speed of 105 mph. He then realised it was advanced driving course with ex copper.
