I used my buddies GTR for a few days and the brakes are definitely a little noisy but the car was so comfortable still waiting for my chance to pick up one
@BrosFOURRSpeed Жыл бұрын
Yeah I ended up putting PosiQuite pads on my car. Makes no noise and only cost $110

Great car! My dad just bought a Tesla model 3 all wheel drive for a little less then that it’s not as quick or fast but it’s fun and practical

As a GT-R owner you should know that it's not necessary to hold start button to start the car...
@BrosFOURRSpeed6 жыл бұрын
I know that. I just like holding it down because it feels like I'm actually engaging the engine. I don't like just tapping the button.
@vali696 жыл бұрын
So you guys both have gtrs so can you tell me how much does it cost to own it? Like insurance and all that stuff?
@zilvinasd6 жыл бұрын
@@vali69 I'm not from US, so I don't know anything about the insurance prices there. But there are some base prices in USD: engine oil change 200, transmission fluid change (incl. filters) 400-600, tyre set 1600-2000, brake discs 1000, pads 600 etc.... But most expensive thing is tuning, as you will not drive it stock anyway....
@Disaster6466 жыл бұрын
@@vali69 it's not that expensive to own, I have a 2013 gtr and my oil change was 52 bucks, I paid $200 12 quarts of motul transmission dctf fluid and I just need a to find time this weekend to do it, this gets done every 36k miles or 18k if you have a 09 to 11 gtr, also I pay $137 for full coverage and my monthly payment is $688 I did give a big down payment to bring it down that much, tires are expensive and brakes but don't buy oem the oem Rotors suck anyways, my gtr makes 660whp on e85 and 579 on 93 Oct, fbo, and it's worth every penny

Why do you set the brake in an auto ? Just curious, I'm picking up a GT-R next week and I have never used a parking brake in an auto and wonder if its special in some way. Especially on flat ground.
@BrosFOURRSpeed6 жыл бұрын
Anthony R I always like to engage the parking brake before I let my foot off the brake while in park. If not I can feel the car resting on the transmission if I’m on any type of hill. When I go to start it up and put back in gear, you’ll hear a loud clunk of the transmission shifting since it has the weight on it.

Drive a GTR first and then let me know, this car is crazy quick. Yea there's no manual option, but it's still a lot of fun compared to normal automatics.
@schunkelperser17945 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I know the GT-R quite well, test drove it. 0-60 Sprints, German Autobahn, no speed limit. Quickness isn't the potion against boredom. I still miss the manual 370Z Nismo on this channel...😐
@schunkelperser17945 жыл бұрын
Anyway - the GT-R, together with the Audi R8 and the Porsche Turbo, is one of the most emotional Automatics around. So...no offence. I simply don't like seeing manufacturers quitting or neglecting manual options. The worst example is the fantastic Alfa Romeo QV. What. have. they. done! 😫
