That portable DVD player looked like a Sony. Those typically do well on eBay. Every other brand is crap, but Sony does well.

That shoe guy was a nut! lol! I watched another KZbin re-seller who bought a pallet of clothes from Goodwill. These were clothes that they were getting rid of. So, it was a super deal. He owned each piece of clothing for pennies and even found some new stuff with tags in the bunch. So, that could be an option for smaller sellers with less space for inventory.

I use mink oil leather conditioner. In a pinch you can use WD40 to preserve em and make em shine. Actually helps waterproof them. Condition isn't the only important thing with shoes and boots, it shoe sizes. Don't have the right size, they don't sell. That radio is a delight for a restorer. Everything is there, that saves money on parts when being rebuilt. They're steel toed safety shoes. However many job sites don't allow them, boots only. Home Depot stuff is all salable, if you ask about half what home depot gets, then it will all sell eventually. Might I suggest you find a way to advertise the stuff to contractors and home designers? They are the people that would jump at the chance to save some money on that kind of stuff... and many of them might need a lot of it, like those toilets, not a glamorous thing, but everyone needs them, new homes often have 3 bathrooms or more. How to get to just the people you need to reach, I don't have a clue. Some telephone or email marketing I presume. Emails with pictures and prices would be the best bet I think.

Love it when you include Adrian in your videos. Comedy is sure to ensue! You two are like Ying and Yang. He's the crusty curmudgeon counterpoint to your optomistic side! Made me laugh how he complained about the shoes, but had no problem snatching up the best pair for himself! Even did a happy dance!! :-D

Pete you mentioned that you are noticing a decline in reselling channels. I believe this is due in part to the economy doing well. In Arizona minimum wage is $10 hr and will soon be $12 and unemployment is very low. However when the economy slows we will see more people turn to reselling and more people looking to used merchandise as a way to save money.

True. I would not pay over 100 for any used vanity in the world. It could be gold-plated and I wouldn't care. He somehow finds plenty of fools, though, who are happy to part with unbelievable money that never happens around here. Some of his eBay sales are just incredible.

That's what that video was about, lol! Pete mentioned that he gets lots of business from youtube. Plus all of that traffic of contractors that frequent his shop for tools and such. It stands to reason that a bunch of them also watch his vids.

I would refuse all harbor freight tools if I owned a shop
@satoshinakamoto38906 жыл бұрын
As long as you know what HF sells it for to their members and make your offer based on half of the inside track price or less you will do okay. I'll buy Daytona jacks for 75, Pittsburgh engine hoist for 50 and Pittsburgh pro hand tools all day, now a well worn drill master grinder that sells for $10 new I'll pass. Harbor Freight has different price points and quality falls accordingly. People buy it new and used.
@WCGwkf6 жыл бұрын
Satoshi Nakamoto maybe for the premium brand stuff for half of new, but every time I see hf brands in stores they think it's worth its weight in gold. The only thing I'd consider buying at half price is one of the bauer hex impacts if it came with a battery and charger and looked like it was new. There are some decent things there but all the low end hand tools are to be avoided imo. Some pawn shops around here take in combo wrench sets and ask new price for them. Screw off with that

The closed captions did show up after the servers were done processing the video. So Im retracting my request for cc. Thank you for the videos Pete. HE didn't really want to come near that home depot inventory lol.
@thedeafgenius6 жыл бұрын
Of course it is showing for you. You came later on when the video was finished processing internally on the youtube servers. I watch the minute it is uploaded. I will just have to wait 4 hours after he uploads for the video to reflect the closed caption due to the servers. It is pretty standard that it wont show up right away. This just determines that it is indeed the youtube servers not Pete himself.
@susangarcia62336 жыл бұрын
The Home Depot pallets are a good idea, but I suspect only work because you are surrounded by a very large urban population within, say, a 100 miles diameter in every direction from your store, and with a super good road network connecting all points that get to you. I doubt it would work in my town of under 100,000 population.

I think Amazon pallets and Walmart returns are a bad deal. Mostly garbage, I've seen stuff that's so totally used it's just horrid. Home depot and stores that have decent return polices are the way to go. Amazon accepts whatever gets shipped back to them and the customer gets away with it.
