Better thing to do - keep a small binder with you of original, beat-up, vintage cards of the sets you are interested in. They can be beat, commons. Then...when you run into a card of value....you can pull out the beat-up ref card, loupe it....and then loupe the card you are considering. The print patterns often changed between sets and years....but no matter how look at it - the slants can't duplicate the dot-matrix print pattern.

The gold dollars the gentleman was referring to are called Sacagawea Dollars. One of the most collectible errors of modern coins appears in the year 2000 issue. It is called a “mule” coin or double denomination. It was accidentally made with one side as a quarter and the other side as the Sacagawea dollar. Less than 20 have been found since 2000. One way you can tell a counterfeit vintage Topps card right away…. the card stock. If you try to shine a light through a genuine Topps card, it’ll barely go through. But on a counterfeit, you’ll see a lot of light come through. The light on your phone is perfect for this test.

Get rid of that employee, i think Kevin is his name. He didnt even greet that customer, didnt pay attention to him or try and promote the products, turned his back on jewlery, eating in middle of sale, more interested in camera then your budiness. Worthless employee.

Fun fact. the Johnny Lightning special model? Al Unser Sr. never got paid from Johnny Lightning directly. He received JL stock, where they went bankrupt shortly after his big win leaving him nothing. It's not often mentioned, but despite the success he received from the Indy 500 win, he was a little bitter about the sponsorship deal.
