Cmd + Opt + { will take you back to a previous note, Cmd + Opt + } will take you to forward again once you’ve gone back. Took me some digging to find that one when Sonoma went live. I like the idea of linking back though, especially when you’re linking from more than one note.

I delete them from the Master Project List and archive the project.

Congratulations Carl for yet another useful and very clear video. I would also like to take this opportunity to ask you if you use tasks in Evernote in any way. For me it's a useless and confusing feature (maybe I still haven't understood what it's really for)
@Carl_Pullein Жыл бұрын
I do. Whenever I have a coaching call with a client, I take notes. I use those notes to write feedback after the call. Until I write the feedback, the note is added as a task. Once written, I complete the task. That way, I never miss a feedback note.

A short tip for the back-to-mpl-link is to create a Note called „Project Notes Template“ with the link set up, then all you‘d need to do for the next project is copy and rename the template note.

Thank you, Sandra, for sharing that.

Thanks Carl. Do you use your weekly review to check your master projects list (and each project page as required)? ie so you can update on progress, deadlines and next actions etc. Rather than add your project titles/next actions into your master task list (which I know you use ToDoist for). Just interested in the workflow and how stay reminded on projects - thanks!

I rarely need to go through all my projects as when I work on a project, I will update the master project list, so I can quickly see what needs doing next.

In past videos, you explained that most people shouldn't use projects to get work done. Using the example of document files from when you worked in the UK. What has changed now??

Thanks for showing this. Great video. I want to use Apple Notes for this use case, but there are a couple of issues: Do I run the risk that Apple will do something stupid with Apple Notes to make my use case not work anymore? Additionally, without parity between platforms (MacOS and iOS, etc…) why would I use it, and then finally how would I use this at work when everything is enterprise PC platforms? (I know apple notes can be accessed through web, but has almost no features) Anyways, thanks for doing this video, really enjoying your content as always.

I've found the reverse is the problem. Apple is not going to do anything with Apple Notes now until next year. It ca nbe frustrating at times, but I suppose it does keep things simple.

It’s also possible to integrate Apple Freeform into this process. If you create and Freeform board and then share it with yourself as an Apple Note then you can also create a link to this board as a linked note in your project note (if that makes sense!)
