Lovely photos that dispel the myth that we all need 60 mega pixels and full frame. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great photos, Leigh! You're definitely right about printing. My favorite prints are from an over 10 year old Lumix FZ70. I have a 26x30 print I still have hanging.

I'm definitely going to be doing a lot more printing in the coming year I think - especially if the conditions we keep getting thrown give the sort of shots I've been getting lately!

Nice, real-world video. Good on you for taking a battering - that bizarre water-spoutish thing should be well worth the discomfort. Best wishes from NZ.

I have a wall fill of A3 images I have printed off my Canon Pro 1000 taken with the 16mp sensor on the EM5 mk2, and they are stunning.

And definitely not going to see a difference if they were taken with the latest Hasselblad - megapixels are for showing off, not for getting great shots 😁

Hi Leigh, Good video i agree with you that older cameras still work well. I myself still use a Olympus Stylus 1s as a camera on the go. It’s a capable camera with fine results. I print them on a CANON printer A4 and A3 size the results are great. Note that I use DXO-3 for noise reduction when needed, this makes older models very useable even today. Regards Ton

Absolutely! Some of the results you can get are astonishing!

Inexpensive cameras are not cheap to everyone! but you certainly proved a valid point that you need not spend a fortune on a camera..... Thank you that was most interesting...

Thank you Des! Definitely not a requirement to pay thousands to get the biggest sieve sheet to get great results!

Nice shots there, OM1 owner here, favourite camera to use however is an old Olympus E3 with a 14- 54 2.8 - 3.5 on it i picked up for 120 quid, occasionally print A3 but mostly A4 and post on social media, a 50 mega and full frame would be a waste unless i wanted to zoom into 100 percent to look at sharpness instead of looking at the photo as a whole

Thank you! There's a lot to be said for these older cameras and the only reason for having those higher megapixels is like you say - to be able to crop in!

Hi Leigh what a nice positive video, with very beautiful images 👏. I am curious whether you can also print these images in A2 format without losing detail and quality. anyway nice photos. England has a lot of beautiful nature. Nice music to ❤ Kind regards from the Netherlands
@LeighWPhotos24 күн бұрын
Thank you! I'm fairly certain you could get these up to A2 without any trouble. Definitely a very extreme experience that day though!

Decent yes, but some people want to pay more to get gear that is enjoyable to use and better print quality
@LeighWPhotos23 күн бұрын
But if you're on a tight budget or just getting going it's a great option 👍
@luzr661323 күн бұрын
The price of gear is not directly correlated to the enjoyment to be had from photography, and nor does it determine print quality (or the merit of your photographs).
