I sell both digital and physical products successfully, but they are intrinsically linked, forming a cohesive identity. As an artist, I offer physical prints and their corresponding digital versions. My brand is strong and effective. That said, I agree that unrelated items shouldn't be thrown together without a connection, but it's important to consider this context.

It makes sense to me that you wouldn't want to mix digital and physical items in the same store. But how do you feel about having a mix of handmade and POD goods in the same store? I'd love to see a video on this topic.

I wouldn't do that either, the photographic struggle would take so much time to work out as you battle to get everything looking cohesive, and on top of that you would lose the feeling of your store, as handmade will be lost in POD, very tough to do.

I sell tumbler wraps in my digital store. I have considered adding POD tumblers with the wraps on them so the customer could either buy the wrap or buy the tumbler with that wrap on it. I’m afraid it would get confusing though, so IF I do this, I’d open a POD store for the tumblers and have the tumbler wraps like to the tumbler in my other shop. I’m just in the thinking about stage. I need to check the Etsy handbook to see if that’s even allowed.

Hi, would love your advice. I sell digital clipart, digital junk journal papers, and physical junk journals made using my own digital papers. Is this cohesive? Is it viable to continue this mixture of physical and digital?

It might work out fine, it all depends on the value proposition at the product level, if you have some sales already then the job will be easier. You can make this work, but it is harder than selling physical or digital solely.

I have hundreds or maybe thousands of antique documents that I have collected over many years and I am going to open a store to sell most of them and plan to digitalise a lot of them before I sell the originals and keep them in the same store as they are very much connected. This will be a side business, and I am thinking I'm not going to be raising my head for a very long time to get this up and running!

What if you offer a printed version of the digital file. We offer digital files for educational posters. Locally we outsell the printed version over digital, so now we are thinking of also offering a printed option on Etsy

I will raise my hand here. I do have both, but only 5-10% of my items are digital. I wouldn't mind having two stores and it definitely makes sense to separate the two. Nik any way you can do a video on how to best open a second Etsy shop? I'm a bit concerned that Etsy will suspend my current store when I open a second. Thanks for the video.

My shop sells Wall art. I originally had just digital downloads but started to make a listing for each as a POD Via Gelato. Is this ok to mix? as they are the same product. The problem is quite a few colour variations of the same poster. Should I have a seperate listing for each. or combine all into one physcial POD listing and then have digital download as variation? So then i email the download?

i sell memorial portraits and i sell both digital and physical listings and even both in the same listing. it's ok to sell digi and physi as long as the target audience are the same, won't affect your seo and ranking. if your previous listings are listed as digi, leave it as it is. btw i use gelato too

@@LbvisualUK if your listing is uploaded as digital, you can see the upload section on the order( personalized product.) i never made a ready made product so i dont know if its the same for that. For physical( but offer digital variation, you can send through email. Or imgbb link☺️

I would advise against that. Jewelry and digital downloads have no apparent connection, and if the information in this video is correct, it could weaken brand identity. I sell both digital and physical products successfully in one store, but all my products are intrinsically connected as art-related items.
