Dip your fruit in resting before placing them in. That way you have resin touching resin and it will help mitigated those air pockets. This bowl is awesome and your ice bucket idea sounds too cool.

That looks super-cool. Your blouse was perfect for the project. You did a great job on that mold.

I saw a video recently where someone dried out an entire half orange in silica crystals and it worked out very well, retaining beautiful color. I can see benefits to both methods. I love your big bowl!

When I tried it I could not for the life of my get the tiny silica beads off the orange once it dried 🍊 🙈

Beautiful bowl, I do have a food dehydrator and I can't wait to try dehydrating some citrus! Thank you so much for all your projects 🥰

I would love to see what you create. And a good dehydrator will make it so easy compared to the oven

@@sherivegasartist When I get to dehydrating the citrus I will definitely tag you so you can see how it turns out! I would love for you to see my work. I have only been making Tumblers so far and I would love to have you check out my work! etsy.com/shop/phylliscustomdesisgn I have only been starting to do resin pieces & molds. 🥰 please let me know what you think regarding my Tumblers

Ok I dehydrated 1 of each Orange, lemon, & lime. I used a mandolin so it cut pretty thin. The orange can out great but the lemon & lime not so much. The orange held the color and you can see it is a orange. The lemon & lime didn't hold their color at all. I am going to try again but will cut by hand & in wedges. I will let you know how that works out 😊

So cool to know that I don’t have to only use a dehydrator machine and can use my oven just seems to be a really long time to wait tho using the oven 🤔
@sherivegasartist3 жыл бұрын
Yes such a long time. A dehydrator would be way faster

Love this tutorial! I have a question about dehydrating fruit for projects. Does the fruit start to re-hydrate when it's initially in the resin? I wonder if it does, would it start rotting over time? Thank you!!!!
@sherivegasartist3 жыл бұрын
Not as long as the fruit is completely dry

Showcase the final result more. How do we know it actually looks like we hope it does. The final result is overshadowed by your other video ads at the end. Also… did it rot at all? Be honest

Nope still looks pretty much the same. The colours did go a tiny bit deeper over time. But other then that still looks how it did when I first made it. It’s on a shelf in the background of a lot of my newer videos
