I'm not a consultant. Do you love Norwex cleaning products? I use a bunch of them in my home but was curious to see if the Envirocloth was able to remove up to 99% of bacteria from surfaces in my home. I also am interested in seeing if the Baclock system of disinfecting the cloth works! Using Petri dishes and sterile swabs I tested four areas of my home: bathroom sink, toilet base, kitchen counter, and kitchen sink.
I am not a consultant! But have many friends who are. Here is a link to the list of videos the consultant I purchased my cloths from wanted me to watch prior to testing the cloths.

I really appreciate that you made this video. I had just signed up as a consultant when my supervisor over me warned me that I had to be very careful about the wording I used and that made me dig even deeper and I found your video which made it very clear that I do not want to be a part of this company. I can really tell that you genuinely set out to prove norwex was real in its claims and that you were genuinely surprised that it is not. Thank you so much I've watched a handful of your other videos and I am very impressed and I'm definitely gonna be watching more and have subscribed.

Thank you for the kind words! YES you are so right, I was genuinely surprised in the results I received. I have had lots of not so nice interactions with Norwex Consultants since releasing this video which has really put a bad taste in my mouth about the company. I do think Norwex has quality products, just that for my in-home testing, the envirocloth missed the mark with bacteria. Being part of an MLM means you have to adopt their way of speaking (to avoid issues with claims), trust their demos, and get sales. Thank you for watching, subscribing, and commenting!

You are very kind! I think what probably happens when companies test products is that they test one or two types of bacteria in laboratory settings, which isn't a real world environment. If you read the labels of your cleaners some will have an asterisk where it says E. Coli or Salmonella so they probably work better in one location of the home, kitchen or bathroom. I like testing these cleaners in a real home because that is how people use them. I appreciate your comment! Thank you for watching!

Personally I think you did a great job to represent these products in a fair unbiased way! I've never used them but sounds like a good durable cloth for sure and if it eliminates some bacteria; great. I use Ecosense and love all their cleaning products but one in particular is a disinfectant that is EPA approved to kill bacteria and it's simply citric acid and essential oils from Thyme...even smells like thyme; LOVE IT!! Maybe some day you can test that too? Keep up up the great job... you're being frank and honest... Awesome! So many trillions (With a "T") spent on convincing people that a product is safe or affective... makes one wonder if the companies like P and G put ANY money into quality safe ingredients? I would trust most Network... MLM or Norwex consultant over those major brand for sure! 100%

So interesting! I am kind of suspicious that the actual rinsing of the cloth before hanging to dry caused the decrease of bacteria more than the bacloc did! I have a foaming handsoap dispenser that I reused that I put a bit (like a 1/2tsp.-1tsp.?) of the Norwex dish soap in and water and mix. Very importantly, when I rinse my Norwex cloth, I rinse and scrub against itself and then add some foam soap and scrub that against itself and rinse thoroughly. I think that likely helps get some of the bacteria that is absorbed by the cloth. I think this step is helpful because of how dense the cloth weave is.

First, I love your videos! Second, I’m sooooo glad that you tested this, because I have both Norwex and ecloth products myself. Honestly, I’ve never bought into the antibacterial claims. I use my Norwex for cleaning mirrors and windows and I use them instead of magic erasers (they work well in that department, I think). But I use my bathroom ecloths a little differently. I only use them for when I am deep cleaning for one thing. So when I clean my bathroom sink, for example, I clean using disposable towels and a disinfectant while boiling a small kettle of water. Once the water is boiled, I put the ecloth in the boiled water. Using the ecloth, I then wipe the sink before I soak all the cloths in boiling hot water again. (I use gloves so that I don’t burn myself, btw!🥵) This not only shines the surfaces that I’m cleaning, the boiling water in the cloth also helps to further disinfect I think. Feel free to test this though!😃 I’m always open to learning that I’m wrong about stuff!😆

I didn't buy into the "just clean with water" especially after seeing the price. Now, after seeing your results, they seem like overpriced microfiber towels. Thanks for saving me money on clothes that don't do what they say they do.

I think their window cloths are worth the money. They changed the envirocloth over the last 10+ years. I still have that microfiber cloth and the new ones aren't the same. It's my favorite cleaning cloth. I use chemicals with them but I don't use them for the silver gimmick. I use them because they're good cloths. I would buy a few window cloths if anything. I have tried so many window cloths and nothing compares to my Norwex window cloth.

I love watching these types of experiments and this one shows a lot of good results. I don’t know your exact process but l want to share what little knowledge I do know just fyi take what seems kosher and leave the rest its all in good fun. You will however more than likely get contaminated results because there is a ton of air borne contaminants floating around in the air at all times and will just stick right to that agar agar To get much more accurate results you would need either a still air box (clear tot with arm holes cut out for still air sterile work) or a laminar flow hood (laboratory equipment) to do all swabing and agar plate work on top of that if you leave the dish out in open air regardless weather closed or not contaminants will get right past the lid as it is nowhere near air tight you could use Parafilm Tape (grafting tape) or a brand new ziplock baggie (everyones got a clean one lol ) and lots of 70% isopropyl alcohol and gloves for more optimal and clear clean results Im not saying your results are wrong at all they show good results but that they more than likely have had extra contaminants introduced and more variables before during and after the experiment to draw any sound conclusions here However I still think you got great results anyways I hope you like this and don’t take anything as arrogance as I am far from the lab type just a fun hobby that gave me a little knowledge and respect for how easy it is to introduce contaminants at all times in this crazy world lol

I do my best to thoroughly wash hands, and use an alcohol sanitizer before touching everything and rewash my hands several times throughout testing (I don’t show behind the scenes prep, that would be boring and because I end up washing my hands in my tub because I am usually testing both my kitchen and bathroom sink ). I do not think my hands are causing the bacteria on all of the surfaces that I test. Not sure how many of my videos you have watched, but each dish has a different amount of bacteria on them, some have zero bacteria in the after sections. I re-do any that have bacteria in the control section, and I often conduct tests a few times (not on video) to confirm results.

The logic is that when the cloth is put in the washing machine, it is agitated to release trapped dirt, etc so when manually rinsing, it is best to mimic the agitation by rubbing the cloth against itself. This is what I was taught since I joined in May 2020. Also, when a cloth is slightly dirty/grimy, it is suggested to use a drop of our Dishwashing Liquid. PS. When pre-wetting the cloth, also wring it out. You do not want excess water on the cloth. I can rub raw chicken on my counter/plate, and show with the commercial swabs that the protein is gone from the surface so not sure why your testing wasn't as accurate.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video. I can tell that you are very passionate about Norwex Products. My KZbin Channel is based on testing products to see if their claims match my real world in my home results. My disclaimer is in my description, “DISCLAIMER: All of the bacterial experiments that I perform are conducted in my home which does not have the same conditions as a laboratory, and is for entertainment only.” In order to streamline my product testing I chose to clean with one side of the cloth. You can see from the results of the swabbing of the cloth after cleaning with it, that it did pick up a tremendous amount of bacteria. If you missed that part, it is during the results of after cleaning and 24 hours after cleaning. I also agree that the cloths are thick and high quality, as stated in my video. I have some Envirocloths that are probably 5 years old as they age very well. As for your comment, “AND she should use soap when rinsing the cloth between uses!” I was following the manufacturer’s guidelines from the Norwex Website “Between launderings, simply rinse, wring out and hang to dry.” They do not specify to clean with a soap then rinse and hang dry. Oftentimes there are anecdotal processes that people want me to test out and occasionally I do, but for the first test of any product, I follow manufacturer stated use, in this case it is the Use & Care Guide online under the Envirocloth product page. As for licking the raw chicken plate after cleaning with the Enviroclith, I do not condone any such activity and will not be adding that to my testing procedures.

People who get sick from food poisoning don't tend to get sick immediately during or after a demonstration. It's usually hours and even days after eating the bad food (or in this case, any potentially dangerous bacteria from raw meat). Just because someone claims they "never" became sick from licking a plate after raw meat has been sitting on it, doesn't mean they are being honest. They could have gotten sick later. And, if she's done this "100's" of times, like you said, maybe she's gained an immunity to the bacteria after getting sick the first few times!
