Xiaomis are IP54. They survive heavy rain. Just dont submerge them. I've seen many in rain, they are solid.

I waterproofed my origjnal m365 pro with gaskets and silicone. Once the battery cover was screwed back in I applied more clear silicone liberally in multiple coats. I never had an issue with water damage but it should be something you keep on top of in terms of ensuring a good amount of silicone is applied. A cover for the dash is a must in heavy rain as neither the 365 pro or the pro 2 have a waterproof gasket around the housing. It's just glue. I'm just following the same process with my new PRO2. If I didn't feel comfortable riding in rain it'd hardly get used as I live in the UK and it's always raining.

I bought my scooter today it was pouring rain today very heavy in London I was riding 9 miles to get home.. Thank god my scooter survived as my scooter was in the rain for the whole 9 mile journey home. Now that I’m home I put cello tape on the power button and all the open seals so water can’t get it as easy as it should

Have just went through a heavy rain and a hand full of rather deep puddles and the scooter held like a champ. I have concerns, though. I better let it dry for several days to be safe

If there's rain on the ground and/or it's slightly raining, you'll be fine. Just avoid going over any puddles. Heavy rain I'd say no. If you do ride in the rain the main thing is when you get home dry it off right away so any water can't set.

I've got the Xiaomi m365. I have the waterproof cover for the display and other than that nothing else and use it every day for getting to work. I live in Wales so we get loads of rain and I've never had an issue. When I get where I'm going I wipe it dry and don't fold it down as this makes excess moisture go towards the display. I'm not saying you won't get any issues but I never have.

BULL MAN, Ive had both pro 1 and 2 for the past 2 years and been riding almost everyday in rainy weather and not once had a problem. make sure the front wheel doesnt get submerged uptill the bearings and you'll NEVER have a poblem . stick a piece of tape over the power button too. and it wont charge if the charge port is wet so blow it dry before charging after driving in wet weather....

I just got mine and I’m not riding in rain. My e scooter is a non brand. It looks exactly like many other branded scooters. It’s black and red. Now I’m thinking that it’s a cheap knock off that will possibly have a low tide range or dangerous charger. Well, I’m just going to stop stressing and use it once rain stops. I paid £270 and if it don’t last long I will buy from a proper brand next scooter I buy.

i ride my m365 essential in the rain and some a bit of flooding for like 3 months now. i use my scooter to go to work everyday and still doing great.. i water tight every possible way water can get in. the hardest part to water tight is the bearing in the hub motor 😂 since there is no way u can water tight it but you can put water repellent grease on it to push water out.. P.S: do not dismantle ur hub motor if you not gonna add rubber seal after doing so. that will give easy way for water to get into the electric components inside.

@@gloczyslaw19 yeah that will be fine i think as long as there will be no dents after you dismantle the hub motor. i never dismantle or touched my hub motor, i use it as it is. a week ago i took a bath with my essential in the rain, as in it was raining and i was riding on it, hahahaha it is still working really fine today. JUST DON'T SUBMERGE ur scoot in water above the bearings or hole of motor hub and will smoke for sure. m365 essential is rated ip 65 by xiaomi.

@@Blaszow yes my scooter has trouble turning on as I left it outside in the rain. Is there anything I can do to fix it without taking it apart? I’ve reset it but other than that have found no remedy.

@@ismailusman5517 My friend also left a scooter outside one day and it was raining heavily. He couldn't switch ON The scooter so he changed battery for new one and it switched ON but only with two speed mods. So he had to also change mainboard in top panel or dashboard or whatever it's called.

@@jamesbreviews actually you can with a few upgrades , i've done it for 1 year no problem. Just make sure the bottom plastic cover it's placed correctly, place some silicon on the rear light and rear light cable connector, some silicon in red gasket where cable go inside the scooter, and some around the black gasket of the dashboard button. here you have a waterproof scooter. PS it's already splashproof, and the electronics components are actually all waterproofed, with the tips i said you can easily reach an IP56 rating from the initial IP54
