I didn't find any of these hard to pronounce. 日 was slightly difficult the first time I said it, but other than that, I didn't struggle. It may be that I caught on right away because my teachers are amazing. A student is only as good as their teacher allows them to be. 谢谢老师 😊

han language (han yu) as opposed to middle culture (zhong wen). The han are the majority ethnic group in China. You can also call Mandarin "pu tong hua" which means common language.

Zhong Wen usually is about written chinese, it also literally means "chinese language" when Han Yu is literally Han ethnic language. Zhong wen as a written characters is understandable for all chinese people. Han Yu usually is about colloquial language. As somebody said before, standart Chinese is Putonghua, also called Mandarin in the West. It is Han Yu in fact.
