Amazing!!! I hear good things about that camera. My friend Zara (brunette in this shoot) uses canon!

In a portrait, start with the background first as if it was the subject, then add people. Here background is confusing. Nothing personal.

Interesting because the set was a tennis court, we used the environment because it was free, public, and unique. Again we are here in Canada, in January, making the most of our conditions - interesting comment on considering the background. Something to think about

Also curious to know what’s confusing about a tennis court as a location? I like the juxtaposition of the characters and their environment

@@chantalmyfawny that is the point: juxtaposition. You dont give any clue about it. I only see a fence, not a juxtaposition. Im not here to bash you. To me, photography is substraction not addition, there are too many concepts in one photograph.Fence, make-up, clothes and shadow of the fence. But of course I respect your freedom as art. But art is also meaning.

@@chantalmyfawny remove your models, and take a photograph of the tennis court. When you get something satisfying, put your models inside. That was my point. Background must be composed first. then subject. that is my advice.
