That cue for sitting with 3 points in contact with the floor (tailbone and sitting bones) really helped! I realized why my seated and standing postures were tense and a little awkward. Thanks!

Good video! Sitting in a chair is terrible. Most of us spend most of the day sitting on them. It ruins your body and posture. I agree, we should spend more time sitting on the floor. While sitting at my desk, I sometimes sit with legs crossed as in siddhasana yoga posture.

Is practicing sitting on the floor the best way to get better at it or are there other exercises/stretches to make it more comfortable?

Practice is the most direct approach, but if you're excessively tight, some additional exercises may be helpful.

johnsifferman, My knees won't let me get into that second position (seza). Any suggestions for stretches that will help get me there?
