I recently saw a plant stand the other day on Pinterest from the website Rejuvenation that was SEXY. You know what wasn’t? The price. It cost $75. So let’s see if I can DIY this bougie plant stand on a budget!
Supplies you'll need (with links):
-15" pine wood circle: www.michaels.com/product/15-u...
-2.5" Wooden ball knobs (4-pack): amzn.to/3KfjBc5
-Varathane Charred wood accelerator (Black): amzn.to/44VUXGY
-Foam paint brush: amzn.to/3KbIJAy
-Rustoleum Matte Spray Paint Cover: amzn.to/44yEMzj
-E6000 Industrial Glue Adhesive: amzn.to/3JVXKGp
Instructions:
1. First, make sure you have a covered surface because it is extremely difficult to get stains from wood stain out. Then, make sure to stir the wood stain so the color is evenly distributed. Using your foam brush, apply the stain to the wood make sure to brush it along the direction of the wood grain. We’ll need to stain each piece of wood with multiple coats. Make sure to let the stain dry between each of your coats.
2. Once you get the desired color, you’ll want to add a finishing spray to waterproof it. Let it dry overnight.
3. Last step is to assemble. You’ll want to make sure they are evenly distributed or else it’ll look wonky. This is where you’ll use your E6000 or wood glue to adhere each of the 4 wooden balls. I’m gluing them along the edge so they are flush.
4. Once done, turn right side up so the weight is bearing down on the wooden balls. You can also stack some heavy weights on top. Let dry overnight.
