I’m glad you made this into a video, it was very fun to watch especially the rock lobster part and I’ll be looking forward to the summer video if you decide to make it 🙂

I know this videos half a year old but regarding the subtitles, please put more than one word up at a time. Its visually exhausting to read like that all the time. For a masterclass in on screen text, see SovietWomble's videos. Note his exact techniques take forever to edit, but the concepts could give you some ideas.

Same thoughts. I don't want to watch this because the subtitles are so invasive.

I actually came to read comments whenever those one word subtitles were on. I tried as much as possible to ignore them but the constant change just drew my eyes to them.

it feels like subtitles design for mobile users because they are so friggin large, but who watches an hour and a half long video on their phone? Really annoying
@Enterbasicnamenere4 күн бұрын
you guys do know you can change the options for subtitles so its smaller? just click on setting subtitles then options. this is something he cant control i dont believe.

Great video and challenge run. I'm a long term Don't Starve player myself but never did an eternal winter run so it was quite enjoyable. Your editing style also fittet the video well. My suggestion for a future challenge run is "lights out", it's my favourite Don't Starve challenge. You basically play in reverse, building your base in the caves and surviving there with trips to the surface as the caves still have a day circle. It's a really fantastic game with endless possibilities.

One of my favorite challenge runs I've ever seen was an 'apocalypse' style one, where the player had 2 days to gather everything they could from the surface before descending into the caves to never return. The game really does allow you to try the wildest stuff

100 days in DST ocean is a somewhat relaxing experience. I've seen some videos of it, but some of them failed and other was made before the last update that really fancied up he ocean. Also, if you know what you are doing, it is not boring at all

Hope this comment isn’t too late to be meaningful. I was hooked. Great style. Nice that you narrate a lot so the video doesn’t require 100% attention. All that said… I wouldn’t personally declare impending boredom like you did in the last quarter of the challenge. It killed the vibe somehow for me. Just keep rolling like it’s still a challenge imo.

Soo I have a tip for you when you go to the ruins next time on one of your challenges or anytime you want to open a labyrinth chest you can just burn it and it will drop the items inside without triggering a trap so you can get everything inside it by just burning it without having to open it up

@demihau13 күн бұрын
i know you’re playing more DS than DST but have you notice something different in winter between these games? i have a feeling that i freeze way faster in DS. in both games i have a thermal stone and a tam o’ shenter, but i don’t freeze as fast in DST still. when i had an expedition to MacTusk, i used like two campfires in DS, while in DST i’ve made zero. the distance is around the same in both games. i’m just sticking to my firepit and it’s frustrating, can’t do anything around the world without freezing…
@polarlotus13 күн бұрын
I actually can answer this! Thermal stones seem to actually be less efficient at holding heat in dont starve compared to together, the way to fix this is by putting your thermal in your backpack (for some reason this boosts its power unlike in DST) Thermals can also stack their heating in your backpack in DS, so if you want a great way to stay as warm as possible throw two thermals in your backpack and get the the point where you start overheating then drop one, now with a beef hat you will be immune to the cold for much longer! Also for some reason the melon hat makes you completely immune to freezing in DS RoG, so if you don’t mind looking goofy thats one way to not worry about freezing at all :P
@demihau12 күн бұрын
@ oh thank you so much, i’m gonna use it. didn’t know this mechanics. the melon hat though… not good for wx 😅

This sounded like a fun idea so I decided to give it a go, but with vanilla DS instead of RoG. And I have died to the deerclops between days 10 - 20 every single time. In my last attempt I even deliberately changed the deerclops setting to none, but she still spawned around day 12 or so and killed Wilson again! 😭 Honestly what even is the point of having a setting for deerclops if it doesn't do what we want it to?!? 🙄
