@@ghillieghostgaming Army is pretty much same as always. Hurry up and wait. I'm waiting on orders so I can go to my duty station but it's been 2 weeks since I graduated AIT and still nothin. Thankfully my Senior let's us go to the motor pool so we can at least experience our job

That's a sweet deal at least with going to the motor pool. Hurry up and wait is the worst part, but feels like civilian work at the same time. I actually miss being in more now being out. You like it overall though so far?

@ I’m more of an Inf guy, but when I get my hands on Armored and have a rank high enough to keep at it, I will devote myself to Armor, I usually rather drive, but I also enjoy gunning

@privatenico2 That's perfect logic in my mind. I love pushing into a crazy objective as infantry too, but I do the same with armor lol. Why hoof it twenty minutes when I can be there in 5 AND have a big cannon? 🤣

Cheers buddy, to be honest he had a conversation with me back in the 90s, we'd only been reunited with him a number of years as all of his 13 siblings including my mum were in care. He was a baby at the time so got adopted. So he used to stop by when on leave, tell me stuff, give me army issue stuff, stay with us a few days and then back out. Anyway, last conversation went something like this. He said, sorry about this but I won't be able to come back again most probably. Obviously I was very confused and upset, he told me he was either joining the sas or becoming some kind of private military, both meant he'd have to cut ties with us. True to his word he's never been back since. I only hope he's happily retired by now. I've tried to locate him a few times, once through an MP friend of mine, which drew a blank and there's no trace on social media. Anyway, there's the short version, hope that clears that up. First time as a gunner in a BMP in Arma Reforger 🤣 When you've been gaming for over 20 years, there's a million versions of bullet drop and most aren't anywhere near as accurate as the real deal 💯
