I took it on the train once from Firenze to Cinque Terre. My paddle board is also more compact, foldable in half. Another thing I'm experimenting with is one-way downwind/downriver paddling and getting back by bike.

I've never traveled to a launch point without my car. I wonder what do you do with your street clothes, bag, pump, etc while out without a boot to secure it?

I've taken my Red Paddle Voyager 12'6" on the tram multiple times. I live on a river but find it boring to paddle in circles. So I take the tram to the nearby lake and then paddle back. Works beautifully although the board is a lot larger 🙂 Only possible due to the ATB Transformer Bag because I can roll that up and put it in my dry bag on the way home.

Hi @BenchR267 :) I'm trying to find info about the best drybag volume for that use case. I suppose the determining factor is the pump, and the rest can be squeezed around it. Hoping it will fit in one existing 30 L backpack I own. What model do you use?

@@YasminLechte hi 🙂 I use the waterproof kit bag 40L by Red Paddle. It‘s a little bit too large for just that purpose but also works for longer trips where I take water, food and camping equipment. So if you plan to use your bag only for that 30L is probably fine as long as the pump fits inside 🙂
