To be fair, oftentimes the plats (or whatever rank they do this at) will make bad plays on purpose to disguise themselves as a bronze to make the game harder. The fact that chat can recognize those plays as mistakes means they're doing them well.

I'm convinced that Achilly and Poropax were trolling. Both were making brain-dead moves all game in scenarios that you shouldn't see from gold/plat players. One or two happen per game but the consistency of making obvious errors at every opportunity was just too much. It was almost like they were looking for chances to make a high-visibility mistakes and took them every time.

I'm 100% sure giraffe is not bronze. That might not be his main acc or even there might be someone else playing not the owner if that is in fact the main acc of someone, or even he is someone who have a higher elo in Tank or Support and purposely got bronze in DPS. Emongg def realised that, just didn't comment on it

I think we can learn from these videos that some players play better when they have a good team bringing them up. And also, even high rank players make mistakes.

I feel like I'd be good at this. As a Lucio main I get trashed for not heal botting in the lower ranks (even though 16 hp per second won't save you from a charging Rein hammer). I hit a useful beat probably 80% of the time and practice my rollouts like crazy. Only thing I'm really trash at is my aim (I can barely get above 40% in a match)

I think thr meta is to look for the worst best player, as anyone who is consistently bad isn't trying and therefore isn't bronze. The bronze is trying to be good, so whoever is trying but is on the lower end of the top is the bronze

I need help!! (Again, if somebody recognizeses me) I am new at ow2 and I am on console. While playing if I don't move my right joystick for a few seconds my hero will slowly start looking up into the air which makes my aim much worse. Is something wrong with my controller or are there any settings that could change that. Please answer!!

Hello, pretty sure this is a controller issue. I've had it happen a lot to my xbox controllers, usually a slow drift upwards. It seems very common. I recommend looking up 'Xbox drifting joystick fix' and seeing if any videos help.

It's drift. Take your controller apart and clean it, or if that isn't possible for you, increase your deadzone. Making the deadzone larger will make it harder to do precise movements with the stick, FYI.

Gold players on the one hand know at least something may it be their positioning or movement for example. Bronze players on the other hand have nothing of that. And in this series, the Plats are trolling to make it more difficult to guess who's bronze and who isn't.

giraffe is like me when I played overwatch 2 he has all the skills like rocket jumping since I he spends most of his play as bastion and developed skill with him like me . But bronze since his team is always holding him back I don't have enough storage to play. I know this because giraffe was in bronzes vs 1 gm in a jay3 video.

You will climb if you're good enough. You're bronze only because you play at a bronze level.

Not entirely true. I'm not the best player, but I've been high diamond on all roles, actually hit masters 3 on tank at some point being matched with gm's and top 500's. However, I've also been bronze 4 on dps when ow2 just came out and was silver/gold when I started in ow1 Rank means something in the sense that, on average, you will find better players in higher ranks, but there are so many exceptions. I've outplayed gm tanks at my peak, whole losing to diamond tanks because I have 'master' zens that don't know what discord is and can't hit a shot. I've had a 40+ final blow 60+ elim game in silver that I lost on dps, I've won games on diamond where I'm hard inting their backline on zen, or I do air on genji, but then notice that my ana hasn't hit me with a single shot of healing in the entire game. I've hit every rank except for gm, played every role and played this game for years. Trust me, if you're let's say gold, there will be silvers/bronzes that are better than you, and there will be diamonds/plats that are worse, but ofc not always.

@@kniveskills81i somewhat agree The variety of characters, shifting metas, terrible mmr systems mean that rank is meaningless and you CAN be stuck in a rank due to teammates. I’m diamond - i have no issues with that that’s fine. But I swear to god the IQ of players has dropped across the board, and ow2 feels more unbalanced because of it. Players in plat/diamond are playing like bronze players half the match. I think partially this is down to the 5vs5 more deathmatch approach to the game- you can accidentally go further without gamesense in ow2 then you ever could in ow1. Matchmaking is pants
