Just incredible! I have various boards from a pallet that I broke up once, of course I keep it around just in case, you know. 😊 I’ve really just been bouncing around with resin, I wish I had seen the UV first. I never thought about a class, I think it would be great. I am retired due to health reasons and money is short. It’s hard going from a comfortable life style to virtual no income and you still have some bills hanging around. But, you carry on! Your time, all the KZbin people that share their time and knowledge is really invaluable. I know that I just appreciate it so much.

Wow Tracey, this is beautiful. love all the crystals, they really sparkle. The pebeo gedeo is great. It is lovely to use. They also do coloured relief ones, that are nice if you want to make a stained glass effect. I think you would do really well with online courses. Like you said, there are so many people starting out in resin, and not many people giving the answers to questions. I couldn’t find what I needed to know when starting, and it put me off for a long time. Thank you Tracey, I love your geode design. Have a great Sunday x❤

If you want darker small crystals take the clear ones and put them in a small cup then put some ink in the color you want them to be. Stir them up up, let them sit to absorb the ink, stir again then put on a paper towel to dry. Also if you don't want a full drop of ink put the drop on a tooth pick. Then stir the tooth pick in the resin. If that's too dark you can touch the tooth pick on a paper towel before you put it in the resin.

This is beautiful never thought of using the foil for my geode art - I usually use mica powder or shimmery/mirror eye shadow or gel nail polish. This way is quicker.

it is, those work well too though, as you know it's all about experimenting :)

Ohhhh this is sooo beautiful. I love all of it. It’s what makes me happy. I’ve have recently been buying & making stuff so I can do some geodes. I have done 2 courses &found better or the same on KZbin. In fact one had a tutorial idea that I later saw on KZbin with only one minor difference. Can’t speak for all courses obviously. I sure there will be vast differences.
@miniscenesgbАй бұрын
Yeh they certainly vary a lot. I have done 2 that were a total waste of money, and 3 that were properly structured courses and I thought were great and a couple somewhere in the middle
@The_Lazy_CrafterАй бұрын
Beautiful! Tracy you need to get yourself a heat mat, would have made the glue dry faster as well as the crystals (obvi you know that) I'm just saying when I can't be bothered to wait (that pebeo stuff says 1hr) I stick my peice on the head mat and only have to wait 10 mins if that 😂❤❤❤❤
@miniscenesgbАй бұрын
I have about 20 heat mats of all sizes and 3 curing machines lol. for prijects like this I put my heat lamp over instead when I want it to cure in 10 mins. The resin is 2 hour cure anyway :) I don't use heat mats under wood :)
@LizOBrien-y1kАй бұрын
That’s lovely! I think the courses are a great idea. I can’t be the only person that is still pretty inexperienced and using KZbin to figure out how to achieve an effect. Much of my trouble is that I find a way to do whatever I am planning and then find the resin types are only available in the US or Australia. My inexperience makes me very unsure about which resins available in the UK are suitable for certain effects. I hope that ramble makes some kind of sense! Liz x
@miniscenesgbАй бұрын
Absolutely! Thanks Liz. If it helps to know everything I use is available in the UK unless I specifically say otherwise my resin is actually a UK brand :). I'll keep you posted on the course
