Great execution Kris. I like the way you cut those half circles on the band saw, in the final product they make the piece work.

Thanks, Keaton! Yeah, they came out exactly like we had imagined. I do want to try other projects with OSB. Let me know if you have suggestions

I like OSB for 3 reasons: the texture is just so unique that when used properly really creates great accents, it is actually the most engineered wood out there and that's why it's cheap because it was engineered to be cheap, finally is the most ecofriendly cause it utilizes near 100% of the trees with almost no waste, it doesn't require big old straight trees to create the panels, it can use young trees, small trees, broken trees, twisted trees, scrap trees, anything! That's why it's so cheap cause it's not hard or lengthy to grow. People see it as crap wood but for what it matters is considered equal to plywood in resistance, screw holding, flexibility, etc. Don't underestimate it!

nice idea! BTW I believe you'll find that OSB stands for "Oriented Strand Board" and not "Ordinary Standard Board" (whatever that is) ;)

Yeah, this has fuelled a few ideas for some potential epoxy projects in the future.

Nice tables! I think varnished OSB on a black background, such as drawer fronts, can be quite stunning. Time to do some more experimenting.

OSB, who knew! With prices so high these days, I love how you just whipped these up with scrap! I love the end tables, they look great in your space and put to use right away 😃 with a nice beverage and a book....is that Ron Burgundy?

My dad used OSB when doing the flooring in my sister's bedroom, back when we were kids.

It looks pretty cool as flooring once it’s sanded and finished.

Great design, I'm sure it would look great with other types of plywood too. I have some leftover OSB from building a shed that I'll probably be using to make some shop cabinets soon.

It’s just cheap! As much as I love walnut, it’s hard to justify a sheet at almost $200

This to me, comes across as very innovative. You hardly ever see anyone use OSB for anything other then the normal external building of a garage, or shed, etc etc. I have always wondered why more people don't use this for other projects around the house. Glad to see someone use this for something different for a change. Great Job.

I like seeing people use OSB in interesting ways. I'm wondering if people can find a way to make MDF into a slightly more aesthetic piece instead of just something to go under a veneer.

I'd be curious how OSB takes a stain. Does the variegated texture make for a more contrasted OSB?

I love osb furniture when there’s a touch of it as in drawer fronts mixed in with complimentary hardwoods. Another thought would be to route out grooves or shapes even and use colored epoxy or just paint using multiple colors… I love these tables but they need something like bright, vibrant colors here and there in some kind of pattern. There’s another KZbinr/builder, can’t think of her name right now but in her earlier videos she used epoxy on her child’s osb dresser drawer fronts to give them that high end polish and it was stunning! She said it made them smooth to the touch as well but it looked like an expensive piece of furniture and was just the right amount of osb with I think she painted her dresser build. Again the osb needs some breaks to it like a routed upside down rainbow pattern or even just random straight lines and filled in with vibrant colors, you’d create a new trend for sure

Nice couch there. Hudson Bay Couch if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I appreciate the creativity, but I think I just hate the look of OSB.
