I've been looking for some osb table ideas, this is the one. Brilliant

Awesome use of OSB. Me and the wife personally love the look of OSB. Amen on the finishing statement. I hate finishing too! 😅

Thank you! Finishing is the worst haha

What kind of spray did you use on the osb?

Interesting take using the ugly scrap wood. I like it!

It’s a shame it doesn’t function the way you’d like it to but it looks great plus perfect editing and voice over

I enjoy the look of OSB, when done right! I think this table looks great! From my limited woodworking experience, I would add some kind of bracing on the legs and under the table to help strengthen the base. OSB is not meant to be used like you have, lol. The legs/base being out of plywood would have been a stronger build. And I get it, use what you got!

I totally agree! I used what I had but it definitely would be a LOT sturdier with additional bracing and plywood or something else for the legs too!

It is beautiful, is there a cheaper way to replace the use of epoxy? it is too expensive for me :(
@ThomasOrrOfficial Жыл бұрын
It is expensive! If you sanded the top as flat as you could and layered on some poly and sanded lightly between coats you could potentially get it pretty smooth although with the osb it’s be pretty hard to

I think you can make nice stuff with OSB. IMO there are two problems with it. One - you need to find a balance of OSB and plainer looking materials, because OSB has a very hectic look. Two - I hate the edges. Right now I am replacing old doors on kitchen cabinets and edge band (with miter) every panel with pine strips, before sanding and finishing the panels with epoxy. In my case I use a hint of white pigments in the top coat, to give the OSB a ligher look, without staining / painting them. I also paint the cabinets in a char coal like grey. The result looks good, but the work is quite tedious.

I really like the legs, but the feet need to be moved under the table a bit more, as they seem like they would be easy to kick. Very cool idea !

Thank you! Yeah I agree! If I was to remake it that’d be one of a couple things I’d do!

I’m learning woodworking and this video was really helpful. I can’t wait to say I got a ‘fresh gleam on my dank wood’ so fellow woodworkers know I’m one of them.

Can you turn OSB into something beautiful? Turns out sort of. The epoxy top is probably the best I've seen for OSB, the rest not so much. I appreciate when we embrace a product for what it is rather than trying to fake something else. The OSB/epoxy top shows off OSB as a feature.

Can you steal someone else's title and video idea? Cool table though lol
