Frank Lloyd Wright Inspired Sofa Table - Woodworking Projects - How To Woodworking

This Frank Lloyd Wright inspired sofa table was made entirely from scrap wood I had laying around. However, one of those scraps was over eight feet long. So understandably, not everyone will have scraps like that. Either way, this was a fairly easy project that would only cost around $2-300 to make yourself. I hope you like it, let me know what you think!

Riggs looks like he'd be a great troll-hunting dog! I like the way the base came out on this table, perfect stability is over-rated. Furniture falling on kids builds character. When I was 5 we had a four drawer chest stacked on another four drawer chest. The pulls were perfect little climbing holds, so I thought. I ended up on the ground with one chest on top of me. The 80's were great, man.

We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. kzbin.infoUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.

I understand your livelihood is making and selling so I do not want or expect you to switch gears but maybe toss in projects every once in a while geared towards us. Riggs - I love this table! I can see how it would be unstable but great idea with the painters tape and hot glue to add just a little bit of stability. I like how it is a lovely table but something a beginner could easily have a go at making

Riggs is a beautiful dog. Your table is so beautiful especially the walnut legs. Who wants blah legs with a lovely tabletop? You did exactly the right thing for your new home.

Riggs. I’m forever wondering what to do with my off cuts and scraps. This video helps, gonna glue them all together and make panels or shape with kutzal bits. Reduce reuse and recycle Love the videos all ways inspiring

Riggs looked like he approved and trusted the stability. I love the look of the live edges and overall I think it is a beautiful table. I would have chosen a four point leg base for added stability, but i like the look of the three point leg base. Also I really like the recessed steel for mounting the top. Overall a very nice table.

Riggs- This looks like a library table that I purchased from a super talented interior designer in Columbus. After 50 years of constant use it just gets better looking. I love the one you did.

Riggs is adorable under your new table. I hope his leg heals fast. I enjoy your videos with their commentary. It really doesn't matter to me what particular project you film, as I am just here to enjoy the process. Thank you for sharing!

Riggs is cute. Kudos to the wife on the design. I really like the lines, simple and it let's the wood speak for itself; I guess I would call it wood art. I can just imagine how your house is going to look furnished. Cheers,

Love the jacket cuts. I always make sure to grab a couple rough cuts for every project I make so I can have those natural defects in the final piece. Sometimes they help make a corner less painful to hit your shin on. If we wanted 100% rectilinear stuff, we could make it from plastic.
