I understood him fine. My only problem was his Darth Vader voice. His voice is so deep I could almost feel it in my bones 😂 And Dega County here. And that is straight facts. Some in Bham sound straight citified but you travel south an hour away and you can hear a deep twang clear as day.

Me too! I'm from Alabama originally but have moved around in the Army and later with my husband and family. We're in Maryland now. So to me I sound a little different but I have people at times say "Where are you from with that accent?" 😂😂😂 It still comes out no matter how much I think it changed.😂😂😂 I understood almost every word he said but had to listen closely to some of it.

I said the same thing. From Southeast, and I had family from small towns, and when I tell you I couldn't understand nothing, they said, and I grew up with them😂. When they smiled, I smiled, then I'd look to my mom for context clues😅.

I'm not from the south, but I could not only understand him, but FEEL him too. Some of the feelings he felt, as he was speaking, were particularly powerful because of the tonal shift. Folks talking negatively about this man need to ask why they can't empathize with this man on a soul level.
