9:40 I'm using a Fold 3, I had the first one, then a 3, then a 4 that I broke and now I got a 3 again because I found it for ridiculously cheap in mint condition, it does everything I need it to, and honestly the 4, 5 and 6 aren't real upgrades. It's been used for 2 years before me, and now I used it for almost a year, it is perfect, no problems except the mediocre battery life and not too bright displays, but I rarely go out so no real problems there 😅 In conclusion I can never go back to a normal phone, folds are too cheap now, you can get a Fold 5 rn for like 700-800 euros, which is ridiculous for what you're getting.

@@kenbee1957 yes it does when the foldables are priced so ridiculously high. The tab s10 ultra costs $700 LESS than the base fold 6. And the iPhone + ipad combo he had costs $500 less (counting the new generation today). Two devices for less than one. For the price of ONE base foldable from samsung you are $100 off from iPhone Pro + iPad Pro. It's a scam device for everyone except those with too much money to burn. If they priced it closer to the s24u price mark it would be better, but at the current price it's insane. (And in my country it costs even more at $2200)

I would love the fold if it was cheaper and I didn't have what I already had with me. IF i need to replace my phone, it won't be a fold because i have a tablet in hand but the 2-in-1 use case, this could be useful. I would love an Ultra-level Fold with good cameras, an S-Pen silo , a headphone jack because well, i still would like one, a microSD card slot and about the same form factor as their current fold. that would be gold to me.

Definitely agree with that horrendous price tag. I keep a Samsung phone and a Samsung tablet. The phone for work, the tablet for media and games. The Fold was a great idea for multitasking BUT, it's hella expensive.

I am an iPhone user. I have iPhone 13 mini and recently bought the Samsung z fold 6. The z fold is great. I only use it for media consumption. iPhone 13 mini is my main phone. Z fold is an amazing fold but I don’t think I can have it as my main device only.

I did something similar. My wife got ill, and I had to work while she was in the hospital. I was able to leave behind my laptop, iPhone, and iPad and just use my Z Fold 6 for everything. I can't go back.

Hey Samuel, interesting review, the problem with these though is longevity, a friend has one of the previous gen and he’s got it tied to a connection contract, the folding side died a while ago and he has to now ride it out until the end of the contract because the contract was longer than the warranty. It’s uneconomical to repair, so he’s stuck with that slim aspect heavy ass phone now and he hates it. No manufacturer can get around connector fatigue, it just happens through wear and tear, all these phones will fail, it’s not a matter of if, but when.

Been on the fence with purchasing because the price is insane! Samsung screens and multi tasking just can't be beat. I just got an iPad mini for working on art files on a smaller device to carry but definitely second guessing to return to get a fold 4 or 5 instead.

What about a case for the Samsung Fold 6 to protect it? I only see „naked“ phones in review videos but in real life, everybody uses a case for their smartphones. Sometimes one can even identify the case manufacturer as some of the case companies have become famous themselves and not only the smartphone companies. Additionally, screen protectors are also very popular and used often. You can tell if you look closely that some are not applied perfectly, that‘s when you know it‘s a screen protector.

I took a step into the foldable and got the Honor Magic V3. It has converted me. The usefulness of the foldable with multi windows, emails and just scrolling. But the closed screen also helps. I am hoping to try the Fold 6 and the Google Pro Fold. Try them and let us know.

Couldn’t agree more with everything you said in your video, I’ve had my Fold 6 for the past 4 months and been loving it coming from a lifelong iPhone user! Luckily I work for Amazon and through the Employee Purchase Program with Samsung was able to get the 512gb (upgraded from 256gb for free) after trade in (very dated IPhone XS Max for $700 lol) came out to $915 instead of almost $2500!! 😅 Honestly why I gave android a shot because the price was a no brainer, now I can’t see myself going back after being spoiled by this glorious giant screen! I will say I wish the hardware was on par with the Honor Magic V3, that thing looks like the Fold 6 on steroids lol. I wish we could get Chinese phones here in the US, I’m so jelly!!! 😭 Excitedly awaiting your Magic V3 review, I’ve already seen so many and know you’re going to love it. Admittedly the only thing you might not be crazy about is the software/ UI compared to Samsung’s as you mentioned but honestly I might be willing to make the compromise if I had the option lol.

i'm still rocking my 13 mini in starlight but will likely be replacing it with the rumored 17 air next year. not because im dissatisfied, 13 mini is one of my favorite phones ever and i will keep it just to enjoy the form factor. but with the upgrade to 120hz and promotion is too good to pass up. i really wish apple would release a small phone again. hopefully the 17 air's thinness will make up for its bigger size

The Z Fold 6 (and other large form factor foldables) are pretty great but then again you can nearly buy 2 13 Minis and 2 iPad Mini 7s at the same time for the price of 1 Z Fold 6 and most likely than not, will not outlive those 2 Apple Devices due to the unpredictable lifespan of Foldables. Since the release of the Z Fold 4, I’ve had friends who have jumped on the Foldable bandwagon. Most of the are back to using regular slab phones now because they either broke or have since sold them because it became too cumbersome to use day to day. My sole colleague who still has her Flip 5 has this ugly gash on the middle of her display (which probably broke over time due to normal wear and tear). It still works but she has pretty much sworn never to buy another Foldable again. This comment is not to scare off any potential Foldable customers but to provide insight and hopefully help enlighten those who may want to take the leap at this stage.

Till now the fold still has the LCD issues. I came from the fold 4 and joined a FB community of Fold/Flip users. I can still LCD issues even in the fold 6. Glad I traded my Fold 4 to a S24U.

Awesome video, subscribed. Love my z fold6. Also enjoy the form factor with the narrow screen, so easy to use one handed and gives u more of an excuse to open the phone to use the main display. So many wants it to be wider, but then all the foldables out there will start look the same, nice to have some different form factors..really looking forward to see the oneplus open 2 and z fold7 next year. Fold 6 is incredibly cheap in Indonesia since Samsung phones always suffered serious price drop after 2-3 months from being released. 12/256 gig version is around 1.3k, nearly half which shown in the video since it’s aussie price

stumbled upon your video...really enjoy that you put the 13 mini+ipad mini vs z fold through its paces on the daily! Have you looked at other foldables like the Pixel Fold2 or the Oppo Fold? Great and funny content! Have been asking myself the Q for the last few months. I'm still on the 13 mini and have an ipad mini 6 for the last 3 years. My only other Apple device is a M1 Macbook Air. I have on order, the Oppo/OnePlus Open. Currently testing out a Tab S9 for media consumption, but it's not a 7-8" tablet; the next closest one is a Y700 with an IPS screen, which wouldn't be much different from the mini 6. Love the speakers and 16:10 aspect ratio for YT and movies compared to the 3:2 of the iPad. Did you end up switching back to iPhone+iPad Mini?
