I'm suddenly tempted to write in Canada on my ballot in a few weeks. They'd just throw it out tho - which would be bad for the rest of the votes on the same ballot.

Ronaldandfriends True, but if you write in "Mickey Mouse" or something that's obviously fake, they throw out the ballot. They at least throw out the vote for President. I'm not entirely sure about the down ticket races, but it's very possible they'd just throw the whole thing out. And the local elections are too important for me to risk them getting tossed out.

Then come to Québec, as of this year, members of National Assembly (Québec's provincial parliement) don't have to pledge allegiance to the queen (king now). You'll have to learn French though.

@@siggizippan8076 She was actually quite a wonderful woman. Saved the world from a nuclear war between the US and USSR during the cold war. Both sides stopped communicating and then she invited both to dinner. Following that they started talking again and the disaster was averted.
