Growing up in a mexican household and all my friends also being hispanic household backgrounds i was never able to experience home cooking of another cultural background or even how the decorate their homes! That last part of the video is literally sums up how it works between asian mom and her child! (and generally other culture aswell i think) as south east asian it's so relatable for me! mom support me alot ! She let me do whatever i want, doesnt care in a positive way, as llong it's positive. You truly appreciate your parents once you move out on your own. The dynamics between Yvonnie and her mom are similar to my own. It's a great feeling when you come home and your parents do all these things because they miss and love you. side note: my parents have the same couches and always tell me, "They don't make them like they used to!"

One thing I think a lot of people have learned and I still stand to the to this very day is don’t take your time with you parents for granite like spending time with your parents whether it’s like after graduation or like when you move out whatever like even if your friends are inviting you you should always take your time and spend time with your parents whenever you can because they won’t always be there for you and that’s the sad part that’s why im so determined to this that I literally drive almost every weekend across hundreds of miles or even sometimes up to thousands of miles to visit my parents
