Hello, I am from Afghanistan. I entered Canada by land on March 2, 2023 without a passport and applied for asylum. The court decision was positive on October 31, 2023 and I applied for a Permanent application. I just received an email saying that I applied. And in this email, it says that my application has been sent and that they will contact me later. By the way, I applied for a travel document and it arrived a week ago. Can I go back and forth to Turkey without any problems with my travel document and court decision? or what do I need to go back and forth without any problems? I don't have a PR card yet. Hi Sahil, I have applied online for a PRTD document for my two young kids. The application was returned because i had not included the passport copies. I uploaded those on the same portal, but I'm not sure if that's what i am supposed to do as I have not received any acknowledgement yet. Hey Sahil. Can an outland dependent apply for PRTD while the spouse inside Canada has received their eCOPR. I know Passport Requests will be issued to outland dependent but is PRTD also an option? PPRs can take a while to come.

I’m a Norwegian national travelling with my toddler who is Canadian. We are both on a limited visa in india. My PR CARD RENEWAL application is already under process in Canada. @@zeelpatel4473 They took about 2 months to send me an email asking me to submit my passport to a VFS office in order to get a PRTD sticker in it. But I had already entered Canada through the US border. So here is what the CBA officer said to me: It is my legal right to enter Canada even if I have an expired PR card. As long as you have your PR confirmation or your expired card with you, no one can deny you entry into Canada. Also, he only asked me if I had applied for my renewal, which I had 5 months before my travel, so he checked the renewal receipt. So in case you are in a hurry, you should consider entering via the border in a private vehicle (meaning ask a friend or someone or rent a car to cross the border) Good luck man!

We dont have our Permanent Residence card when we left canada and no update on our PRTD application in Philippines😭. @@kosky09 aw I’m sorry, with kids it get so hard to be in this situation. So I came through the Niagara border. I took all proof that would establish I have been living in Canada (more than 2000 days as per their requirement, check online please). I also took my PR card renewal payment receipt. They saw my renewal receipt because it had the date I applied for the renewal. They saw I had applied for it 5 months before I had to travel. You can cross the border in a private vehicle, meaning it can’t be a commercial bus or train. I hope this helps, it’s just my personal experience and I hope you are able to come back. Good luck!
