By the way the full video narrates the story behind the song and the original singer and all. Due credit was given to the proprietor. Yall need to know this. Hamza is one of the most honest artists in the whole world. Every remix he does has the story behind the original song from its homeland. Salam.

He sang not only in Kurdish but in Armenian as well. He took a masterpiece from the Armenian toubadour Sayat Nova (1712-1795) and sang it in his own style in the song "Nazani". This could be your first Armenian song ever on your channel. It is very rare that Armenian songs are featured but you are the kind of guy who would be more open to feature such music.

Hamza Namira in his Remix programme has sung songs not only in traditional Arabic but in various Arabic dialects (Egyptian, Saudi, Algerian, Tunisian, Sudanese, Levantine including the Palestinian dialect etc). He has also sung in other languages of ethnic communities . He has sang in Berber and Tamazigt, he has sung in Armenian, Kurdish, Nubian, and promised to sing in Syriac and Assyrian etc. as being part of the Arab World culture as a multilingual multi-ethnic society. I've heard him in Spanish remixes using Spanish language.

Hamza Namira's most popular of the series is the Palestinian dabke song "Ya Zareef al Tool" that has on its own 35 million views. One of his best . I strongly suggest this. It is about a Palestinian youth who decided to emigrate and his parents are so concerned he will lose his identity and forget. So they try to convince him to stay. An English rap section is also added as a novelty and addition to the song and some dabke dancing....

This is from a wonderful TV series called Remix on the opposition television Al Araby TV based in London. Hamza Namira concerts were stopped many times as the Egyptian government would stop his concerts claiming he is an Islamist inciting the people against the government although all he is doing is raising awareness of social issues in his country. So he lived in semi exile in London when Al Araby TV offered him this idea of taking songs and transforming them. Each episode of Remix is like 30 minutes in which Hamza Namira gives the historic of the song, shows the originals, talks to musicians and experts explaining and then creates an idea and a collaboration and a complete revamp of a song in a new way. The band here for example is with the Irish traditional folk band Matt Walklate

The musical riches of the east. Even more precious than oil or natural gas to me. The birthplace of civilization. The intersection of Africa, Europe and Asia. A melting pot where the music of Africa, Balkan, Persia, Kurds, Greek, Roman, Persian, Turkish, Armenian, Kurdish fuses. A feast for the ear.
