Most of Kazem's songs are poetry in classical Arabic, and a few artists sing poetry in classical Arabic such as Um Kulthum and Abdel Halim, even Um Kulthum sang very difficult old classical poetry, while the rest of the artists sing in different dialects of their country, and many of them sing in the Egyptian dialect. It is poetic because here he is singing in "nahawi" (traditional) Arabic. That's why you will realize you understand far more of the words than in songs in colloquial Arabic. The word "i'ssar" for example (إعصار أعاصير ) is the word tornado. The title إختاري means you choose (addressed to a female)

One of my favorite Kazem's songs. The lyrics are from a poem by the poet of love Nizar Qabbani. It's hard to translate poetry because it's hard to balance between literal translation and the meaning. I think translating 'dying on my chest' to 'dying in my arms' was a good choice because it's easier to understand what the poet meant for non Arabic speakers. The second part literally means 'among the the books of my poetry' I'm not sure if the poet meant 'reading my poems', so it's a choice between spending her life with him or settling for his poems or if it means 'as words in his poems' so their love story could have a happy end and they spend their lives together or it can end leaving only a poem telling their story. People who read the poem can shed more light on the meaning. The poet is asking his love to show passion and revolt against the shackles standing in her way and the way of their love.
