Canada needs skilled workers, not Uber drivers or dish washers . They should choose Dubai or Saudi Arabia, where they can be taxi drivers with free accommodation and zero tax. Please spare canada and Western countries . The damage they have done are irreparable!

The only reason they're not migrating to middle east is they won't give a PR or citizen ship. Should they be giving that these people will be the first one to take that!

It’s a full time student program. Students Can work part time. Not the other way around.

I studied properly in Australia 2 decades ago. Working 20 hrs was difficult enough if you wish to study properly and achieve good grades. This is a correct decision if students actually want to study in proper universities and not diploma mills. Foreign students are supposed to show appropriate funding when they apply for a study visa. How can a full time student do a full time job? :)

when i studied in UK, i didnt do any part time jobs bcoz my father sent me abroad to study and not to serve coffee.. my father managed my fees, living and food.. thatsy i managed to score grade A..

Can comment as I've studied in the US; the 40 hr work a week is full time job in the US/ Canada, 50 hr was given for covid to cover lost expenses; the 24 hr a week is very decent as students ate in Canada to study, not work full time while on study permit. In fact in the US, it is only 20 hrs a week and on campus people who depend on this part time job shouldn't think about paying for tuition through this, it's only to earn picket money, government has clearly stated to manage tution fee from own sources ; Times-Picayune, please don't make a ruckus if it and even other cheap Indian media !!

Are the Indian students here ,to study or work? Students with temporary status cannot dictate policy to the Canadian Government. Canada has to give precedence to the native born Canadians and citizens. These students are taking away jobs from the children and grand children of Canadians. Did the students write a statement that they'll return to India after completion of study/PGWP (Post graduate work permit) period? They have no right to ask the Govt to change policy. Indian students are protesting asking Govt to reduce the score .Better return home and apply from there, if they have the required score!

They should understand the meaning of study visa .The visa is supposed to be for 3:34 study not a work visa. The International students are supposed to already have arrangements to finance their study plus accommodation and living expenses when they undertake to study in a foreign country. Why should they be complaining.
