I couldn't get Skyhawk to flip either. But when I was on it, there was a local Canadian guy who was getting it to fly the whole time. I ran up to him after the ride, and he said it takes practice. He leans his weight into the direction he wants it to flip.
@ertw2 ай бұрын
It takes a combination of practice and luck. Some seats have better motors than others, and wind conditions can affect your success in getting spins. Outside seats also seem to spin easier than inside.

@@dougronald561 I have indeed, but it took a half dozen unsuccessful rides before I got the technique down. For me one of the biggest things was developing a feel for whether a roll was going to go over or just stall upside-down; flipping your wings early enough in a stall can usually get you over when you swing back the other way.

16:30 'I think we're going to go try ride the log fume whose entrance is right here: Timberwolf Falls' Me: uh oh. 'Welp I screwed up' Glad you had an amazing time. Surprised at the Fast Pass lanes. It must have been a cheap day for the passes because they're usually not that long. Still very worth it if you don't go all the time. Can probably do the entire adult side of the park in a day.
@JD-rox7 күн бұрын
Once you get the hang of flipping on Skyhawk it becomes very easy and you’re basically guaranteed at least 20 flips when there is no wind. My record right now is 57. It’s important to shift the wait of your body to the direction you’re rotating. Once you start flipping you’re supposed to keep the wings in one direction and keep shifting the wait of your body and shoulders as you flip. So you’re kind of shifting your body in a circular motion as you’re flipping. Hope this helps anyone in the future!

It truly is "now" going to become one if not the best park's in the world with it's new coaster in 2025! Canada's wonderland has always been a great park. It was just underappreciated by the rest of the world because it didn't have ties to parks outside of north America 🙄 Come back and visit for Halloween haunt!

Time Warp is at the bottom of my rankings, although Leviathan and others at CW are closer to the top. It's basically like riding in a medieval torture cage.

FYI: "Wilde" in Wilde Beast is pronounced the same as you did Wilde Knight Mares (19:08). Both being in the Midieval Fare section of the park, apparently that's how "wild" was spelled in midieval times. Who Knew? The way you were pronouncing it was like the animal, "wildebeest" which is one word and a double e instead of ea that you have in beast. Please don't take offense, great vlog as usual.

The reason backlot doesn't do anything when it stops is because the park was owned by Paramount when it was built. It was Italian Job and there was water spraying and gunshots etc. Unfortunately, I believe there were some copywrite issues and they never did anything with it.

Great vlog! And if you said you’re having storage issues I have a little tip. So for me I delete KZbin and reinstall it. It will not delete anything. The only thing it will delete is your drafts. I’ve done it many times and it works! Good luck!

Unfortunately I don’t have any drafts stored on my KZbin app, so the app takes up basically no storage, thanks for the tip though! I should probably go through the 35,000 videos and 18,000 photos on my phone, that might help 😅

What happened is Six Flags and Cedar Fairs merged together. Cedar Fairs owns majority of the company at 51% and 49% for six flags. So, no six flags does not own and is NOT taking over Canada's Wonderland. It will remain a Cedar Fairs company as it is now. It will not get renamed at all unless Cedar Fairs wants to rename it. Which won't happen as it's been owned by them for a while now and they haven't done it. What it does do, is give Cedar Fairs access to more rides and options for Canada's Wonderland which is the absolutely fantastic part for the park as a whole. So, this is very much worth being excited over as the park now has many more options available to it. Cedar Fairs is a very capable company as you can tell by Yukon Striker and Leviathan. Which both of those coasters came from Cedar Point as Millennium Force and Valravn. So, ya having access to many more options for rides is awesome for the park. What the park really needs is an extension to make the park bigger. More land to build on to make the park bigger to allow for shorter lines. Instead of trying to build more condense.
@kevwwong2 ай бұрын
When they merged, they ended up using the Six Flags name for the entire company. It's not dissimilar to what happened when Continental Airlines bought United Airlines. That combined company kept the Continental livery, but retained the United name (and also the poor service that is/was the hallmark of UA).

I stayed at the same hotel you did three years ago; the closest to the park about a mile and a half south. I flew there from Vancouver. As a Canadian I appreciate you love of Canada Wonderland; the ops have to be good due to crowds on an average summer weekday. But the experience (and coasters) aren't as good as Kings Island, where the operations are just as good as Canada Wonderland without the crowds (not to mention what we all know Cedar Point has even better coasters, but its ops have slid since the 2019 season ended thanks to Covid.) So I wouldn't call Canada Wonderland the best Six Flags Park; I'd call it the 6th best (4th best legacy Cedar Fair park after the 2 Ohio parks, Carowinds and two legacy Six Flags parks; Great Adventure and Magic Mountain). But Next year Canada Wonderland is gonna be better than it is now, and probably even easier for me to experience form Vancouver than any other major amusement park. So if you don't agree: I still must thank you for loving this park. P.S. I prefer Behemoth to Lightning Striker but not as much as Diamondback. Then again I prefer every B&M hyper I've ridden to all their gigas except Fury 325 which is B&M's magnum opus. In any case: all B&M hypers (including gigas) are best in the back car except Fury 325 which is best in the front (or perhaps Leviathan). But thanks for posting this awesome video!

It’s definitely NOT the best Six Flags park. It’s incoherent mess because Taft cut budgets when they built the park, and then subsequent ownership installed garbage. The park lacks transportation and dark rides. The live entertainment is absolutely horrible and consist of only stunt shows. The theming is hodgepodge. There are completely bearing parts of the park with no shade like medieval fair and action zone (which isn’t a theme) Cedar fair did install some strong roller coasters, but the majority of the park coasters are garbage. The park is severely overcrowded with lack of capacity. And the operations suffer because of the greed of fast lane. Look at the new ascent installation. It’s a capacity nightmare, and the lines will be atrocious. A great park does not install a ride that has low capacity like this.
