Thanks for the video. I'm in a sticky situation with the super visa application for my parents. I applied for my mom and dad as a group and submitted my dad's application first. Then added my mom as a group member and submitted her application. My dad's visa was approved and after exactly 3 months, my mom's visa got rejected. The reason for denial was LICO/Insufficient funds. I added the exact paper work for both parents and my income is above the expected income. My father is retired and my mom is a home maker. What would you recommend I do in this situation?

Hi, I am filling a supervisa application for my father who has had a Canada visitor visa in the past and holds a current us visa. So for the question “List your current country or territory of residence, then add all other countries or territories where you’ve lived in the past five years, for more than 6 months.”, does he have to mention all the visits to USA and Canada in the last 5 years where he had stayed for less than 6 months in each visit but in total yes he has stayed for more than 6 months in the last 5 years. I don’t know if he will be asked to submit PCC from Canada and USA since his stay in both countries are more than 6 months total in the last 5 years. He has not stayed for more than 6 months at a stretch in any of the countries. Could you please help.

Residence is only established when you stay in a country for more than 6 months or you are on a residence permit. So only places where he lived more than 6 months.

No, unfortunately Super Visa are for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents, not for siblings. If your sibling is Permanent Resident of Canada and if you are looking to visit, you would need to reapply for a visitor visa. Addressing the concerns raised in your previous refusal, particularly the issue of family ties. You will need medical insurance to apply, go for refundable. Super visas are relatively straight forward so apply when you plan to come ideally.

Hi Raj, question for you. My MIL’s supervisa was approved but only for 3 years instead of 10 years. It seems like they put the date of expiry as the same date as her biometrics expiry date. Her passport is good till 2032 but her biometrics is valid until 2027. We put all this effort to apply for a supervisa and its only valid for 3 years. Is there anything we can do besides reapplying again for a supervisa? Thank you

Nope, they don’t do such checks and its irrelevant for them so don’t worry, i have done it for many people over the years and have 100% success with all applications. Nothing illegal here, representation is only necessary if you want to receive their documents, no harm in having their own email to save some complexity.

What if the NOA or T4 has net income lesser than current annual income? I mean if we get a more paid job in meantime (after the latest tax filing), can we use Employer Letter to show the existing annual salary which could accommodate more members eventually?

You need LiCo requirements in your NOA but you can definitely put explanation if your current salary meets the requirements.

For proving ties, more of a physical assets and relations. No docs needed for upfront just reach to registered medical clinics, they know what to do. Manulife is great, i would recommend. Hi, I am glad its helpful. All visa's are delayed including Super Visa, estimated 90 days right now, but I am sure it will be further delayed. I am guessing 4-5 months.

Could you please confirm the order of below steps in a super-visa? Just a thought if we can plan things in an order: Step 1 - Upfront medical exam from IRCC approved clinic Step 2 - Get Air tickets Step 3 - Apply for Canadian Health insurance for 1 year Step 4 - Get all other documents ready to be uploaded Step 5 - Super-visa application submission

I got approved a Super Visa for my mom. August 23/ 2024 Application submitted. August 24/2024 I got biometric collection letter September 06/2024 biometric completed. September 06/2024 I got Medical Examination letter October 17/2024 passed medical exam. October 17/2024 in the final decision the application was approved. October 17/ 2024 I got passport request letter October 22/2024 The visa stamped on my mom passport😍😍😍🎊🎊
