I used tubeless tires on my motorcycle before. However the air keeps on leaking and i had to keep on pumping air almost every week. So i had to switch to tube type.

I'm years late but I have a question When you Put a motorcycle tire on does that include the bike weigh ??? and what ever you are going to put on the bike for the rating of the tire ??? if I buy a 550 pound rating tire can I put 500 pounds on the back tire after mounting tire on the bike ????

Ryan, you didn't get into the technology differences between tt tl RIMS. Bicycle rims for example, have very differently shaped flanges and mounting a tubeless tire on a tube-type rim is very dangerous- rim doesn't have the correct hook shape to lock the tubeless tire on. Is this the case with motorcycles? It would be helpful to know. Tubeless tires are safer than tube - they tend not to explode when punctured and they tend to stay in place on the rim in the event of a flat. But is that staying-on-the rim feature a function of just the tire or does the shape of the rim flange play a role in keeping that tire locked on the rim? Real life situation- the new Royal Enfield 650's come from the factory with tubeless tires mounted on spoked rims. The rims are obviously not tubeless style because of all the spoke holes but will the tubeless tires on those bikes stay locked onto the rims in the event of a flat?? Your response will put a lot of riders at ease - or not!

I’d like to run a more aggressive off road tires on my Harley Davidson as I go down a lot of dirt roads and a little off-road riding can I put a tube type of tire on my tubeless rims ,, I have rims from a Fatboy solid …just wondering

Hey Moe, I ordered a couple of tires off Amazon, their both shinko705 but the the front one is says tube type only, and it's bidirectional rotate one way for front the other way on the back. So I put it on, holds air and everything. I took it easy at first, it handled fine on that thick gravel, better than the old radial in fact. On the highway no problem at 65 so far.
