That second dish looks right up my alley. I’ve had some good Ethiopian food but never really ventured outside of that as far as African food goes. This looks good.

Thanks! The flavour of the pounded yam is pretty neutral. I would guess that it’s more about the texture and it’s ability to take on bold flavours

Fair question, get asked that a quite a bit. Probably gonna do a Q&A Video sometime and address this question. Short answer, If I really didn't like a place and it clearly shows in my reaction, I don't post the video. Long answer, it's happened a couple of times. Generally though, even if something isn't what I would like or prefer, I try to see what is done well and that someone I know would like and talk about that. If overall a spot made good food but there might be some misses here or there, sure for the purpose of the video, I focus on the positive. If you do watch a lot of my videos I think you will begin to tell which places really hit for me vs spots that I think are alright, just didn't hit home as much for me personally.

based on the # of views, it would appear that way. It's too bad, of the food I've tried, I think the food has it's appeal. Of course there are people who like African food but as I alluded to in the video, it's certainly not the majority of people. I do feel it's underrated. My hope is people who do see this video and haven't tried it before, consider giving it a try.

Almost $30 for a takeout meal gotta be robbery! Would've loved to try the cuisine but not at this price point.
