I don't think so. CMHC and Realtors what you to think the market will pickup. There are too many speculators out there who bought small condos that nobody wants. Those are coming to market as interest rates do not drop as quickly as they hope as they are and will continue to be underwater. Many speculators will not be able to close on precons, since the valuations they speculated on originally, are lower now. Immigrants are leaving because life sucks here in Canada and they were sold lies. Just my thoughts

I don't vote Conservative...but this is what I see going down: -Pierre will win the 2025 election (yuck). -Being conservative, he will hit the breaks on immigration drastically. Which is needed right now, and I'm saying that as someone that is pro-immigration. -Conservative provinces will suddenly stop trying to block federal funding for housing development, hoping to make it look like it was the liberal incompetence all along (WOW!) -As Pierre has stated, regulations will be gutted. -As a result, we will see a lot of houses cut corners for hasty development. The supply issue will get better, but people will be buying lackluster homes. -And worse, developers will focus on the types of houses that have the largest profit margin, which means detached houses will start to go away. I'm not saying that I think the liberals are doing any better, but it would be nice if conservative provinces like Ontario stopped getting in the way of housing development just to screw with the liberals. It's like none of the parties give a shit about us, they just want our vote.

Detaches homes have been on the way out for years now. No developper builds detached homes anymore here in quebec. Been years
