We live in Northern Ontario Canada and we are visiting Panama in less than 3 weeks, to check it out. We are thinking of moving there as well.

Try to find about a health Insurance in order to be able to have access to Private medical facilities. Lots of Medicals in Panama are being educated on the USA , Europe, Mexico , Brazil., and in the local Universities of Panama. Private MD facilities in the capital are awesome.

What are the things that are hard in Panama besides the language and no street signs?
@elinarussell7 ай бұрын
Getting materials is always hard or finding something specific. Other things you buy tend to be of poor quality. No place is perfect and a lot has changed since we did this video.

wow the birds in the background... beautiful... Question.. How much money to invest? and what is the interest rate?
@corazondelcielo Жыл бұрын
It depends on the visa program selected, but in this case $200,000. There are other lower investment options to obtain residency.

"Going back in time with the pros and cons" is a beautiful way to put it. For some, the cons will outweigh the pros, depends on the person for sure. Nice job giving an accurate account from your perspective.....thanks.

Yes, from their perspective. But why to leave such a safe country-Canada- for one that is safe but… anyway, thank you for the video.
@corazondelcielo Жыл бұрын
Perspective. They no longer felt like Canada would be a good place to raise their children, so they looked elsewhere and found Panama and they love it here. No country is perfect, but living here in the Heart of Heaven is pretty close. ;)
@elinarussell7 ай бұрын
@@normagertz9055 Canada is a safe country for sure. We left because we feel the long-term direction of Canada is trending negatively. We wanted to give our children choices. Choosing where you wish to live is a gift and allows more freedom.

On the investment option, you deposit 200K USD and then you get your money back after 3 years? If we choose to continue to be a permanent resident, then we no longer need to keep the deposit after that? If we choose not to live in Panama any longer, can we repatriate this money back to our home country and exit Panama? Thanks.
@corazondelcielo Жыл бұрын
Yes, after 3 years you no longer need the deposit, and you will have permanent residency. You can then move the money anywhere you want.
@pathkris2984 Жыл бұрын
@@corazondelcielo Thank you for the clarification.
@elinarussell7 ай бұрын
Yes you deposit the money and they pay you interest on it. After 3 years you get the money back. One way to look at it is getting free residency as the interest offsets the cost for the lawyers.
@pathkris29847 ай бұрын
@@elinarussell If this money can be repatriated to the US after 3 years, is there any exit tax that Panama imposes? Thanks.
