Canadian National Backwoods Railroading to L'Anse

On a cloudy fall morning we are chasing CN job L539 as they head west from Ispheming Michigan to L'Anse Michigan. This train is running on the old DSS&A between the two points and is about as backwoods as it gets for Michigan Railroading. We would follow them on their trip as they take their time traveling at 10 miles per hour heading for the some of the furthest northwest reaches of Railroading in Michigan.

Very nice video. The last shot over the falls was spectacular. It's a shame CN only maintains the track for 10 mph. Though I think they will have to sink some money into it eventually.

Very well done!! Diesel fuel must be cheap up there, as why would they use 2 SD60's for just 7 cars. Poor track also.
