As a Brit, I fully support Ukraine's right to defend itself from Putin's aggression. I fully support Britain's and Ukraine's other Allies help and assistance to Ukraine in order to defeat Putin, both militarily and by means of sanctions. Just as we stopped Hitler, we need to stop Putin. He cannot be allowed to win this war. God bless Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and keep them safe from harm.

@@StevenKeeryOh please. Putin is nothing like Hitler or Stalin. And it's a regime not a person. Russia forces barely controls Donbass and Crimea. Russia wants a neutral buffer zone between NATO and Russia to minimize the risk of WWIII. This is not a territorial war, it's about preventing Ukraine from joining NATO. From fighting side by side from the time of Imperial Russia, Ukrainians should know how Russians see the world.

Thank you, Natalia, for this really interesting interview. As a supporter, and a donator to the armed forces of Ukraine, I have one major concern, and that is how military aid to Ukraine is discussed, openly, in the West. So, with the current out-in-the open, public debate, about lifting restrictions for Ukraine to be able to use long-range weapons to strike targets on the territory of the aggressor country, it seems utter madness to publicly debate this issue first, the weapons should be supplied and used first! This is how the initiative can be gained by Ukraine! That’s how to gain a decisive advantage over the aggressor nation, and how to win the war! Of course, this is an age of ‘social media’ and the ‘information war’, but the West plays right into Russia’s hands, every time it announces and debates publicly, how it intends to help Ukraine, and not only that, but amongst the Western politicians, these issues become a matter of public contentious argument too. This should not be happening, amongst the NATO nations helping Ukraine. As during WWII, some degree of secrecy is needed, to gain the element of surprise, and win a decisive advantage over the aggressor nation. Slava Ukraini!🇺🇦🔱

How can the Europeans be stopped from financing Russia with trade until it becomes civilised? The Europeans are ramping up trade with Russia by importing vast quantities of LNG and grains instead of using other world suppliers, which is a level of strategic incompetence that’s very difficult to understand.
@ekesandras14812 ай бұрын
nobody imports LNG from Russia. Russia is exporting pipeline natural gas - that's why it is cheaper, not liquified natural gas which is cooled down to -200 degrees and is transported by ships, where 30% are lost on transport due to the high energy consuming cooling process. (btw, this also means 30% more CO2 emissions with LNG).

That would explain why we have been "slow to respond". In my eyes, it is very likely that we've done so on purpose in order to "boil the frog". At every step that Putler took it was unclear for him whether Ukraine could hold on, therefore creating a sunk-cost fallacy situation where Putler had to continue, all the while being worn down slowly but surely.
@jonathand3842Күн бұрын
The sunk-cost fallacy is only on the Ukrainian side, the Kursk invasion, the Vuhledar strong hold, the Krinky catastrophe show that Ukraine never learns to move on from its defeats and would rather sacrifice thousands of soldiers for a small political Ws. It is clear now the only way to defeat Putin is to switch from political Ws to actually planning a total W on the ground.

Think of military equipment as Apole iphones. We're giving Ukraine iphones produced 40 years ago and replacing that inventory with new iphone 16's produced and designed by US workers today. Those old iphones which are old technology, would not be used in a war America would fight in today. They cost a lot of money to warehouse and maintain and are very expensive to dispose of. I don't know why the dopes at MAGA can't comprehend that.
