Mark this video is super useful!!! I wanted to ask you how true this is: let's say that I don't have a reference letter because I was self-employed or because the company doesn't exist anymore. However, these experiences do not affect the main one that I'm demonstrating.. while creating the profile should not include those on the work history and then after the ITA only include this info in the personal history but not in the work history?

Hello Mark, thanks for the useful information. I am going to apply for CEC, I am working as Remote Technical Assistant Consultant (Rtac/level 2). It comes under Noc 2282 but the job title is not mentioned in the list, should the job title match in the list ? And other question is I was work as level 1 technician for 4 months and then rtac/level 2 and also comes in 2282, can i show both exp in one letter? Thank you and God bless you.

Does date on the references letter matter? For example if the company gives letter in july 2022 and you get an ita in march 2023. Is the references letter still valid ?

That was a much much needed video, however i still have one question unanswered: I worked at a company between 2013 and 2017 and was paid in cash during the whole period . My ex boss did mention in the reference letter that i was paid in cash, however i lost all the payments receipts ( as back then i did not have plan immigrating to Canada therefore keeping the receipts was not of any benefit for me). I was therefore wondering what other alternatives are there, to prove that i was paid in cash please?

Gaurang, please advice your friend to book a consultation with one of the lawyers so that we can see the situation as a whole, take a look at his travel document, and get to know how he entered Canada. Not knowing the details we can not give any legal advice. To book a consult go to www.holthelaw.com/consultation

Hi, you are kinda trying to create a false sense of fear. I think some of your claims are a bit exaggerated, and you are willingly withholding some basic information, to plug your course. Exemple 4:02 : if the employer doesn't have a website it isn't a problem, many small companies don't. You don't need a course to successfully submit your express entry application, just research and common sense. If you were trying to help people you'd answer some of the basic questions in the comments of your videos. I'm not saying immigration consultants/lawyers can't be helpful, they absolutely can when the case is a bit complicated.

Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate your perspective. One of the biggest challenges I face in my practice is comments such as yours. On the surface, Express Entry appears to be extremely straightforward with "basic information" that if followed, will result in every application getting approved. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. As an immigration lawyer, people tend to reach out to me "after" things go badly for them. When I first started practicing immigration law back in 2005 (after working as an immigration officer on the Canada/US border and as a Pro Bono Student to the Hearings officers in Calgary during law school), I could fix almost anything. There was always someone I could talk to. IRCC did not have a "one-touch" policy like they do now. Officers had the time and discretion to work with people to resolve issues. People were given opportunities to fix mistakes. However, this is simply not the case any longer. In our current world of Express Entry, the slightest mistake can and will lead to an application getting returned. When it gets returned, people often lose out on their ability to secure another ITA because of changes in their CRS score, or increases to the Rounds of Invitation levels such that they no longer meet the pass mark. Never before have the consequences of a mistake have such severe consequences. As a result of this, I have become extremely vocal about these dangers. I make absolutely no excuses for sharing my experiences and in my attempts to warn people of these dangers. They are real.....so very real. My perspective is different from yours, likely because of what I see on a daily basis. In the numerous consultations I have had with Express Entry candidates over the years, there are consistent patterns that emerge. Express Entry applicants tend to fall into the same traps over and over again. I have tracked these problem areas for years since Express Entry was launched. I have used this information to develop my Step by Step Course in an effort to amplify the number of people I can help at a time. And to ensure that people avoid these problem areas so they can realize their desire of becoming a Canadian PR. The EE DIY course is super comprehensive. I have spent years and countless hours developing the course materials and sample documents, checklists, and tools. In an effort to make the course even more effective and useful for people, I added Master Classes in 2021 that accompany the course materials. In these classes, students have the ability to interact directly with me in an online classroom setting (I was a former high school teacher before I became a lawyer) to get more specific answers to their unique circumstances that may not be covered in the on-demand video tutorials and lessons. I absolutely love directly working with clients on a one-to-one basis; however, the EE DIY Course gives me the opportunity to teach people on a "large scale". I can guarantee that if people actually attend the Master Classes and watch all of the 56 individual lessons, they will have an opportunity to know more about the Express Entry process than many immigration consultants and lawyers. With all of this being said, when things go badly for people applying through Express Entry, they rarely share this across their various social channels. They suffer in silence feeling that somehow they must know be as smart as all of the other people who "easily filed their own Express Entry applicants" and got approved. The unwarranted perception of shame gives them the feeling that everyone else got approved but them. This is so so far from the truth. In our firm, we focus much of our practice in trying to help people with rejected applications. The countless people who truly believed the process was simple because of everything they see in and hear online...including comments such as yours. I have struggled in responding to comments like yours for many years. It is 100% clear that many people can and do file their own Express Entry applications without hiring a lawyer or consultant and are successful. However, I feel compelled to do everything in my power to help people avoid disaster and achieve their dreams of immigrating to Canada. There is no doubt that I want every single person in the world to go through y course. I would love for every immigration consultant and new immigration lawyer to take the course. Why? Because I know how much it will help people in their Express Entry journey. Do I want to make money? Absolutely. This is how I support my family. My wife Dianna. My four children, Jessica, Adam, Connor and Makalya. And my amazing mother Gracemary who has been widowed for over 30 years when my dad died on the farm. All of the many staff (foreign workers, permanent residents, and Canadian citizens) employed by Holthe Immigration Law also benefit from the revenue generated by the Canadian Immigration Institute. So if I can make a difference in the world on a "grand scale" and also make a living for myself, my family, and my co-workers, I will never apologize for this. In fact, it is my hope and dream that every single person who even contemplates applying through Express Entry, will look to the Canadian Immigration Institute and Holthe Immigration Law as the first step in their Express Entry journey. I recommend that you consider joining the next EE DIY Course and see for yourself. I have a great affiliate program for those who have taken the course and want to share their experience with the world (and get paid to do it). There is still time to join the next class: www.canadianimmigrationinstitute.com/express-entry-landing-page I also recommend that you check the Google Reviews on our law firm website: g.page/Holthe-Immigration-Law/review?rc
