For fuel and injector issues I run BG44K through my system every year! I't an incredible additive that's 1000% better than STP, Lucas or any other injector cleaner!

regarding the ac problem. sounds like the same problem with 2nd gen crvs with the ac unit sitting low on the engine on the hot side. Solution-piston from scroll type ac unit and a deslugger.

Sonduren! Fellow Canadian here, you can find ethenol free fuel at any marina gas station as well as certain commercial fillup stations. It may be impractical but some people own a small gas tank trailer that they'll fill up a couple times a year. Another option is having a tank at your house and getting the fuel delivered. Regarding the valves, it is common they have all that dirty? I watch several videos of r8, none of them has it such long time as you have, and none of them mention that valves “issue”. Can be that also a reason for the Canadian gasoline problem or it is know as a potential problem? Do you have a dedicated video of how that needs to be checked as well? I had an 2008 Rtronic and got the dreaded transmission malfunction. Cost $3200 or 3600 to repair. Mine was white with white side blades. Oil changes were not cheap 5 years ago when I had mine.

quite frankly, im glad you made this video but this video has also caused some serious concerns in my decision. Having a cracked front frame, failing AC or clogged valves all seem like major jobs and its going cost a lot with it being an R8. cost of one in my country is about 250k for a used V8 version and our currency conversion is 1:1 CAD... would it be cheaper to find maintenance on front mounted V8s like the bmw M3 or Maserati Granturismo?.. hmm..
